“chaitanya-charanāmbhoje yasyāsti preetirachyutā,
vrindātavi-shayo, stasya bhaktisyāchchhata janmani” . 17.
Meaning – The one who has unwavering love for the lotus feet of Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mahāprabhu, is a fortunate soul, and he will be devoted to the lotus feet of Sri Rādhā-Vrindāvanvihari for very many lifetimes.
yathā rādhā-pādāmbhoje bhaktih-syāt prema-lakshanā,
tathaiva krishna-chaitanye vardhate madhurā ratih”. 18.
Meaning – “If we have true loving devotion for the lotus feet of Srimati Raadhaaraani, then our sweet passion for Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaaprabhu will increase each moment.” 18.
“kanaka mukura-kāntim chāru-vaktrāravindam,
madhura mukura hāsyam pakwa-vimbādhara-oshtham.
suvalita lalitāngam kambu-kantham natendram,
tribhuvana kamaneeyam gourachandram prapadye” 19.
Meaning – My Beloved Gourachandra’s resplendent lotus like face is further beautified with sweet smiles. His lips are like ripe bimba fruits and his neck is like a conch-shell. He is so graceful, and every part of his strong well-proportioned body is gorgeous. He is so handsome that all three worlds desire him ! I pay obeisance to that exquisitely beautiful Sri Gourachandra. 19.
“sudeergha sumanoharam madhura-kānti chandrānanam,
prafulla-kamalekshanam dashana-pankti muktāphalam.
supushpa nava-manjari shravana-yugma sad-bhushanam
pradeepta mani-kankanam kashita hema-gouram bhaje.” 20.
Meaning – He is tall, and his body is beautifully proportioned. His eyes are like fully-bloomed lotus petals, his teeth are like pearls, his ears are as beautiful as fresh flower blossoms. His complexion is brilliant golden, and his hands are decorated with gem-studded bangles. I adore that Sri Gourasundar who is Prem-personified. 20.
“akhila-bhuvana-bandho prema-sindho jane’smin,
sakala kapatapurne gyānaheene prapanne.
tava charana-saroja dehi dāsyam prabho twam,
patita-tārana nāma prādurāseet yataste”. 21.
Meaning – My dear friend of the Universe ! My dear Ocean of Prem ! I am full of hypocrisy. I am also very ignorant. Please make me your slave and keep me at your lotus feet. My dear Lord ! You simply have to shower mercy on me – otherwise how will you fulfill your name ‘Patita-pāvan’ ? 21.
“urddha-krita bhuja-dwayam karunayā sarvān jananā-dishet,
re re bhāgavatā havim vada vada sri gourachandra swayam.
premnā nrityati hunkritim vikurute hā hā ravair-vyākulo,
bhumou lunthati murchhati swahridaye hastouvinikshipāti” 22.
Meaning – Swayam Bhagavān Sri Gourachandra is so merciful that he is lifting both his arms to the to the sky and with his own lips he is exhorting us – “Dear devotees ! O fortunate souls ! Say Hari hari !” Speaking thus, overwhelmed with Prem, he is dancing sweetly, roaring in ecstasy, agitatedly saying “Ha Ha”, rolling on the earth, falling down unconscious, and sometimes beating his bosom. 22.
pāda-padma-lubdha bhakta-vrinda bhakti-dāyinim,
gouramurtim-āshu noumi nāma sutra-dhārinim.” 23.
Meaning – My Beloved Gourānga has gifted Harinām – Krishnanām – to the Kaliyug-afflicted mankind. This Holy Name is so potent that it can destroy all sorrow, illusion and greed. It can annihilate the three types of suffering – ādhibhoutik, ādhidaivik and ādhyātmik. It can destroy all obstacles and shower auspiciousness on the entire universe !
My Beloved Gourānga is so munificent ! And those devotees who are ever-craving for the honey of his lotus-feet are all the more merciful ! For, these Gour-bhaktas are the only ones who are freely dispensing Prem-bhakti by incessantly chanting the Holy Name. I repeatedly pay obeisance to That supreme Personality Sri Gourānga. 23.
mālati mallikā-dāmabandha kunchita kuntalam,
bhālodyat-tilakam ganda ratna-kundala-manditam . 24.
Meaning – His thick curly locks are bound with Malllikā-blossoms, his wide forehead adorns the sparkling tilak, and his cheeks reflect gem-studded earrings. 24.
“srikhanda-aguru-liptāngam kankanāngada bhushitam,
kwanan manjeera charanam gourachandram-aham bhaje.” 25.
Meaning – His handsome body is decorated with beautiful designs made out of shrikhanda, aguru and chandan paste. Bejeweled bangles and armlets decorate his arms. His feet are resounding with the musical chimes of gem-studded anklets, I adore That Sri Sri Gourachandra ! 25.
“madhuram madhuram kanakābha tanum,
arunāmbara sat-paridheya maho.
jagadeka shubham sakalaika param,
karuna-pravanam bhajatam paramam”. 26.
Meaning – Ohh ! how exquisite is the well-proportioned sweet form of the golden-Gourānga ! How beautiful is his pink garment ! He is the only one who can bring total goodness in this world. He is the savior of the fallen, the most munificent, and the only adorable Object. 26.
“krishna-rupam parityajya kalou gourobabhuva yah,
twam vande paramānandam sri chaitanya mahāprabhum”. 27.
Meaning – He has discarded the Krishna-appearance and accepted this beautiful Goura-form in Kaliyug – Oh ! How I adore That supremely blissful Sri Krishna-Chaitanya Mahāprabhu ! 27.
“peetāmshukam parityajya shonāmbara dharoti yah,
tam gouram karunā-sindhum-āshraye bhuvan-āshrayam”. 28.
Meaning – Discarding the peetāmbar he has donned pink robes – I surrender unto the lotus feet of That supreme Ocean of Mercy, the Shelter of all universe – Sri Gourachandra ! 28.
”avateerna punah krishno gourachandra sanātanah,
magnāstribhāga pāpe’smin teshām trānasya.” 29.
Meaning – When this world had been enveloped with the threefold sins, then, in order to save the Kaliyug-afflicted beings, the Eternal Truth Sri Krishna descended in the form of Sri Gourānga in Nabadweep. 29.
“avateerne kalou goure chandālādyāh kujātayah,
yāvanta pāpinashchāpi prāyaso vaishnavā ami.” 30.
Meaning – When Sri Gourānga descended in this Kaliyug, all Chandālas and other low castes became Vaishnavas. What to speak of them, even the most wretched sinners got transformed into Vaishanvas ! 30.
“patitam durgatam drishtvā vaishnavā loka-pāvanāh,
karou dhritvā harernāma yāchanti kripayā kalou.” 31.
Meaning – The Vaishnavas who have received Goura-kripā are moved when they see the fallen and miserable state of mankind in this Kaliyug. Out of intense mercy, they catch hold of their hands and beg them to take Harinaam. 31.
“sankirtan-ārambha krite’pi goure,
dhāvanti jeeva shravane gunāni,
ashuddha chittāh kimu shuddhachittāh,
shruhā pramattāh khalute nanartuh”. 32.
Meaning – When Sri Gourachandra started the all-purifying Harinām Sankirtan, His wonderful qualities mesmerized the Kaliyug-afflicted mankind, so much so, that they would rush wherever he performed his Harinām yagnya. All beings – the pious and the impious – would dance intoxicated in his Sankirtan. 32.
