The poet is thinking, how will I get darshan<\/em> of such a beauty? <\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Then he is describing that beautiful appearance \u2013 “bahula-chikurabharam<\/em><\/strong>\u201d <\/em>\u2013 “His grooming includes expertly arranged heavy hair-do\u201d. It is heavy because flower garlands adorn His hair. It is also \u2018baddha-pichchavatangsam\u2019<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 \u2018Peacock feathers beautify His crowning glory\u2019. He is \u2018chapala-chapalanetram<\/strong>\u2019<\/em> \u2013 \u2018His eyes that are naturally restless are now darting here and there more quickly than a lightning even.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018Charu-bimba-adhara-oshtham\u2019<\/em><\/span><\/strong> means \u2018His naturally alluring lips are rosy like ripened the bimba<\/em>\u2019. \u2018madhura-madhura-h\u00e2sam\u2019<\/em><\/strong> means \u2018His smile is full of sweet ras\u2019. \u2018mand\u00e2ra-ud\u00e2ra-lil\u00e2m\u2019<\/strong> <\/em>\u2013 He is as magnanimous as Mand\u00e2r Mountain or as generous as a wish-fulfilling tree. <\/span><\/p>\n


\n Mand\u00e2r Mountain was so magnanimous that he allowed himself to be used as a churning-rod to whip the Ocean of Milk. This is why \u2018amrit\u2019 leel\u00e2s<\/em> are like the Mand\u00e2r Mountain. If we hear, say and meditate on His leel\u00e2s<\/em> (that is, keep churning them in our hearts), we too will surely get Sri Krishna\u2019s darshan-amrit <\/em>(nectarine vision).<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

We should note the point that, the demi-gods and the asuras<\/em> had brought Mand\u00e2r Mountain with tremendous difficulty and had put in lots of labour to churn the Ocean of Milk and ultimately obtained \u2018amrit\u2019<\/em> that belonged to the material world. But Sri Krishna\u2019s leel\u00e2-smaran <\/em>is not only easy but also very pleasurable and by doing this we will obtain the Divine \u2018Amritam\u2019<\/em> \u2013 that is – Sri Krishna\u2019s darshan<\/em>!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Srila Chaitanyad\u00e2s Gosw\u00e2mip\u00e2d has explained that Sri Lil\u00e2shuk is once again overwhelmed with extreme eagerness to behold Sri Krishna. He is chastising his eyes and saying, \u2018My eyes are forever seeking That Mur\u00e2ri with His enchanting appearance. But why blame them? His very thick hair is weighing down and is bound enchantingly with peacock-feathers\u2019. This signifies that Mur\u00e2ri\u2019s appearance is captivating. Then the poet goes on to describe Sri Krishna\u2019s beautiful eyes and smile. After this he states that his eyes are agitated because \u2018mand\u00e2ra-ud\u00e2r-lil\u00e2m<\/em>\u2019<\/strong> \u2013 \u2018His divine pastimes are like Mand\u00e2r Mountain\u2019. Just as Mand\u00e2r had agitated the Ocean of Milk and taken away the \u2018amrit\u2019<\/em> from it, similarly Sri Krishna\u2019s enchanting appearance has stolen all patience[1]<\/sup><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a> from my eyes. Srila Chaitanyad\u00e2s\u2019 explanation too is very nice. 46.<\/span><\/p>\n
