Sri Lil\u00e2shuk is saying that, Sri Krishna\u2019s playfulness and all other activities are sweeter than sweet. So the poet has described Him as \u2018<strong style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\"><em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">madhurima<\/em><\/strong><em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">\u2019<\/em>. Sri <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">Bhagav\u00e2n<\/em> is full of Divine <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">ras.<\/em> Although He is the embodiment of <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">ras<\/em>, some incarnations manifest some of the <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">ras<\/em>. None of the incarnations contains all the <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">ras.<\/em> But Sri Krishna is the very embodiment of the nectarine <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">ras<\/em>. All the <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">ras <\/em>are fully manifested in Him. He has certain qualities that bring forth these <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">ras<\/em>. We do not find this in any other Divine form. These qualities are His personal treasure. Our Gosw\u00e2mis have named these qualities as \u2018<em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">m\u00e2dhuri<\/em>\u2019. Sri Krishna is sweetness personified. Hence, each and every part of His body is sweet! The devotee who has realizes this has sung \u2013 <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: center;\" align=\"center\"><em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">&#8220;adharam madhuram vadanam mahuram<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: center;\" align=\"center\"><em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">nayanam madhuram hasitam madhuram,<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: center;\" align=\"center\"><em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">hridayam madhuram gamanam madhuram<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: center;\" align=\"center\"><em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">madhur\u00e2dhipateh-akhilam madhuram.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">Sri Lil\u00e2shuk is a worshipper in the sweet mood. So he is saying, \u2018I want to remain absorbed in that sweetness\u2019. He is praying eagerly in three verses. In this verse he is saying \u2013 &#8220;I will remain absorbed in that supremely effulgent \u2018<em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">dev\u2019. \u2018Dev<\/em>\u2019 is defined as <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">\u2018divyati dyotate iti deva\u2019<\/em>, meaning, \u2018<em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">Dev<\/em> is One Who has effulgence\u2019. Here we may ask, \u2018Does Sri Lil\u00e2shuk want to merge into Sri Krishna\u2019s effulgence as the <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">gy\u00e2ni<\/em>s want?\u2019 No, he does not. He wants that Sri Krishna, absorbed in <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">ras,<\/em> will perform <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">Leel\u00e2 <\/em>with rapt attention. He wants to lose himself in that <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">Leel\u00e2<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">How does the poet describe Sri Krishna? \u2018<strong style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\"><em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">ahimakara-kara-nikara-mridu-mudita-laxmi-sarastara-sarasiruha-sadrisha-drishi\u2019. <\/em><\/strong><em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">\u2018<strong style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\">ahimakara<\/strong><\/em>\u2019 means \u2018one whose rays are not cool, that is, the sun.\u2019 <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">\u2018<strong style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\">ahimakara<\/strong><\/em>\u2019 also means \u2018those sunrays that are neither hot nor cold. These rays have touched the lotus and made it look serene. \u2018<strong style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\"><em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">mudita<\/em><\/strong>\u2019 means \u2018exultant\u2019 or \u2018bloomed\u2019. <strong style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\"><em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">\u2018laxmi-sarasrata-sarasiruha<\/em><\/strong><em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">\u2019<\/em> means \u2018the lotus (<strong style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\"><em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">sarasiruha)<\/em><\/strong> that is full of <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">ras (<strong style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\">sarasa-tara<\/strong><\/em>) and hence is beautiful <strong style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\">(laxmi<\/strong>)\u2019. Sri Lil\u00e2shuk has lost his heart to such beautiful lotus like eyes. Here we should note that when subjected to the midday sun, the lotus, in spite of containing honey, appears dried and rough. On the other hand, very early in the morning, the lotus is not bloomed at all. Hence, the lotus is at its best when touched by the sunrays that are not too hot or cold. Then it is bloomed as well as soft and serene. The poet has compared Sri Krishna\u2019s beautiful eyes to such lotus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">The poet has also described Sri Krishna as <strong style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\">\u2018<em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">vraja-yuvati-rati-kalaha-vijayi-hija-lila-mada-mudita-vadana-shashi-madhurimani\u2019<\/em><\/strong>. Meaning \u2013 &#8220;Sri Krishna fights a battle of love with the <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">Gop\u00e2ngan\u00e2s.<\/em> He tries to hold them in tight embrace, which breaks their necklace, and He attempts to kiss and strike them playfully with lotuses. Sri Krishna has won victory in this battle. Hence His moon-like face is sparkling with pride and joy.\u201d The kohl from the <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">Gopis\u2019<\/em> eyes has tainted His face during the <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">rati-kalaha<\/em> (battle of love). So His face is moon-like (since the moon too has dark marks on it). As He embraces the soft <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">Vrajab\u00e2l\u00e2s<\/em>, He becomes more and more full of <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">ras.<\/em> When the devotee meditates on those<em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\"> Leel\u00e2s<\/em> with the <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">Vrajab\u00e2l\u00e2s<\/em>, His heart too softens and becomes full of Divine <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">ras<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">This is a very special Kaliyug, for in this age Sri Sri Gour\u00e2nga Mah\u00e2prabhu has opened up the casket containing a very deep secret that is the mode of worshipping Sri Sri R\u00e2dh\u00e2-Krishna. He has brought this good news for humanity that was hitherto unavailable even for men with pure consciousness, having long life and performing very difficult austerities in the other<em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\"> yugas.<\/em> He has brought with Him the practise (<em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">s\u00e2dhan\u00e2<\/em>) of <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">Vraja<\/em>&#8211;<em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">ras <\/em>for the sinful and trouble-ridden humankind of Kaliyug. Sriman-Mah\u00e2prabhu has spread this priceless treasure (this message) through Sri Rupa, San\u00e2tan and the other Gosw\u00e2mis who are His eternal and loving associates. This treasure is \u2018<em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">R\u00e2g\u00e2nug\u00e2<\/em> <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">bhakti<\/em>\u2019. Srila Rupa Gosw\u00e2mip\u00e2d has written in Bhaktirasmrita-sindhu about the process of<em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\"> R\u00e2g\u00e2nug\u00e2 bhakti<\/em> \u2013 <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; tab-stops: 62.65pt center 216.0pt;\"><em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"mso-tab-count: 2;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>&#8220;sev\u00e2 s\u00e2dhak-rupena siddha-rupena-cha-atra-hi,<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: center;\" align=\"center\"><em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">tad-bh\u00e2v-lipsuna kary\u00e2 vraja-loka-anusarata:\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">Meaning \u2013 &#8220;Those who wish to gain <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">rati<\/em> (passionate love) for Sri Krishna in Vrajadh\u00e2m, must perform <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">sev\u00e2<\/em> in this body, as a <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">s\u00e2dhak<\/em> and in <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">siddha-swarup <\/em>through meditation (since only the <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">siddha-swarup<\/em> is qualified to serve the Divine), following in the footsteps and under the authority of the Vraja <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">lokas<\/em>.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt 18pt; text-indent: -18pt; text-align: right; tab-stops: list 18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;\" align=\"right\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\" lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"mso-list: Ignore;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">&#8211;<span style=\"font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">[B.R.S. 1.2.294]<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: right;\" align=\"right\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">Here \u2018Vraja <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">lokas\u2019<\/em> means the residents of Vraja such as Sri R\u00e2dh\u00e2, Vish\u00e2kh\u00e2, Rupa manjari and the Gosw\u00e2mis, such as Sri Rupa and San\u00e2tan. In <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">siddha-swarup<\/em>, we must do <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">sev\u00e2<\/em> under the domination of Sri Rupa manjari etc. while in <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">s\u00e2dhak<\/em> <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">deha<\/em> we must serve under the command of Sri Rupa, San\u00e2tan and other Gosw\u00e2mis. Sriman-Mah\u00e2prabhu Himself has said \u2013 <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: center;\" align=\"center\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: center;\" align=\"center\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana; mso-ansi-language: ES-TRAD;\">&#8220;bahye antare ihar duito sadhan,<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: center;\" align=\"center\"><em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">bahya-s\u00e2dhak-dehe kore shraban kirtan.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: center;\" align=\"center\"><em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana; mso-ansi-language: ES-TRAD;\">mane nija siddha-deha koriya bhaban,<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: center;\" align=\"center\"><em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana; mso-ansi-language: ES-TRAD;\">rarti dine kore braje krishnera seban.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: center;\" align=\"center\"><em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana; mso-ansi-language: ES-TRAD;\">nija-abhishta krishna-preshtha pacche to lagiya,<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: center;\" align=\"center\"><em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana; mso-ansi-language: ES-TRAD;\">nirantar seba kore antarmana hoiya.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana; mso-ansi-language: ES-TRAD;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">Meaning \u2013 &#8220;In this body the <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">s\u00e2dhak<\/em> must perform all external <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">sev\u00e2<\/em> such as hearing, taking the Holy Name, worshipping and glorifying while he must meditate on his <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">siddha-swarup<\/em> that is given to him by his Sri Gurudev and must serve Sri Sri R\u00e2dh\u00e2-Krishna all day and night in his mind. As the <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">s\u00e2dhak<\/em> meditates on the Divine pastimes in this manner, his innermost mind gradually becomes absorbed in the lotus-feet of his worshipped Lordships.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">When he attains success in his <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">s\u00e2dhan\u00e2<\/em>, the <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">s\u00e2dhak<\/em> leaves this body and actually gains <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">sev\u00e2<\/em> of Sri Sri Yugalkishor in the realm of<em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\"> Leel\u00e2s<\/em>, in his <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">siddha-swarup <\/em>on which he had been meditating all along. Then he feels blessed. Srila Narottam d\u00e2s Th\u00e2kur Mah\u00e2shay has written \u2013 <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">&#8220;Sri Rupa manjari (Sri Rupa Gosw\u00e2mi) is our leader. The <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">siddha-swarup<\/em> of the other Gosw\u00e2mis are as followers \u2013 Sri Rati manjari (Srila Raghun\u00e2th d\u00e2s Gosw\u00e2mi), Lavanga manjari (Srila San\u00e2tan d\u00e2s Gosw\u00e2mi), Manjul\u00e2li (Srila Lokan\u00e2th Gosw\u00e2mi), Sri Rasa manjari (Srila Raghun\u00e2th Bhatta Gosw\u00e2mi) and Kasturik\u00e2 (Srila Krishna d\u00e2s Kavir\u00e2j Gosw\u00e2mi). They all get together and perform loving <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">sev\u00e2<\/em> eagerly and with great joy. Under their guidance, I too shall pray for loving <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">sev\u00e2<\/em>. They will merely gesture and I will understand what to do. I will bounce with beauty and talents, and always be full of deep love. In this manner, I shall live amongst the <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">sakhis<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">In Vrind\u00e2van both of Them (R\u00e2dh\u00e2 and Krishna) are sitting with the <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">sakhis<\/em> surrounding Them. It is the time for <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">ras<\/em>-celebration. O when will the <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">sakhi<\/em> gesture to me and I will sway the fly-brush? It is only a matter of practice and perfection. When we have become perfect in the meditation of <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">siddha-deha<\/em>, we attain a stage called <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">\u2018prem-bhakti\u2019.<\/em> Until then we are in the process of practicing and it is called \u2018<em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">s\u00e2dhan\u00e2<\/em>\u2019.
