His chest is decorated with designs of kumkum-ras that is hidden in between the breasts of the love-intoxicated Gopis who are struck by the flower\u2013tipped arrows of the Love-god. After embracing them He is inebriated with bliss. His soft smile puts the beauty of the full moon to shame and the sweetness of His face increases every moment \u2013 my heart is lost to That Divine Being.53.<\/span><\/p>\n

rimati R\u00e2dh\u00e2r\u00e2ni got a sphurti <\/em>of Sri Krishna after Their lovemaking. How sweet He looked! Ishwari was absorbed in that sweetness. Srila Krishnad\u00e2s Kavir\u00e2j Gosw\u00e2mi says, Sri Lil\u00e2shuk has echoed Srimati\u2019s feelings\u00a0in this verse. Sri Krishna too becomes ecstatic when He beholds Ishwari\u2019s sweetness.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Sri Krishna said: After the love sports She looks so blissful and sweet that I forget myself.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

Srimati R\u00e2dh\u00e2r\u00e2ni said, “I am engrossed in That Dev.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

How is He?<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He is \u2018kusuma-shara-shara-samara-kupita-mada-gopi-kucha-kalasa-ghusrina-ras-lasad-urasi\u2019<\/em><\/strong>.<\/em> It means, “The Gopis<\/em> who were struck down by the flower-tipped arrows of the Love-god\u201d. On their own, they embraced Sri Krishna and the kumkum<\/em> design on their bosom was transferred onto Him and made Him look extremely wonderful.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When Srimati R\u00e2dh\u00e2r\u00e2ni said \u2018Gopis\u2019<\/em>, She was indirectly referring to Herself. We learn from Venu-geet that the kumkum<\/em> from Srimati\u2019s bosom stuck to Sri Krishna\u2019s lotus feet and expressed an incredible sweetness.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“A Gopa<\/em>-beauty said during Purva-r\u00e2g<\/em>: Dear sakhis<\/em>, the tribal women are indeed blessed. The kumkum<\/em> from the bosom of Sri Krishna\u2019s beloved stuck to His feet and is transferred onto the grass. The tribal women apply this kumkum<\/em> on their face and bosom and thus satiate their passion.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

Srimaj-Jiva[1]<\/sup><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a> Gosw\u00e2mip\u00e2d has explained the above verse in Sri Gop\u00e2l-Champu. Here he has described the sweet power of the kumkum<\/em> that was transferred onto Sri Krishna\u2019s feet from Srimati R\u00e2dh\u00e2r\u00e2ni\u2019s bosom. It is a delightful pastime. During purva-r\u00e2g<\/em>, in the night of V\u00e2santi Purnim\u00e2[2]<\/sup><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>, Sri Krishna played on His flute and Srimati R\u00e2dh\u00e2r\u00e2ni swooned on hearing it. At other times, Ishwari used to faint and recover soon, however, now She refused to come back. Sri Krishna\u2019s flute attracted all other Gopis <\/em>and brought them to Him. But since Sri R\u00e2dh\u00e2 had not come, He asked them to return. The Gopis<\/em> too respected His wish and went back.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When the sakhis<\/em> saw that Srimati was not recovering, they were worried and they approached Sri Pournam\u00e2si devi<\/em>. They brought Sri R\u00e2dh\u00e2 to her cottage.\u00a0 <\/span>Devi<\/em> Pournam\u00e2si sent Madhumangal to bring Sri Krishna. When He came, she requested Him to touch Ishwari and bring Her back. Sri Vrind\u00e2 devi<\/em> too said, “O Protector of Gokul! If Sri R\u00e2dh\u00e2 regains consciousness by Your touch, will You lose anything, especially when Sri R\u00e2dh\u00e2\u2019s beauty far exceeds that of Sri Laxmi devi<\/em>?\u201d Sri Krishna heard her and remained silent. Then Sri Pournam\u00e2si asked, “O soul of Vraja, why are You quiet?\u201d Sri Krishna said, “I am afraid to commit adharma<\/em>.\u201d Pournam\u00e2si said, “I accept the adharma<\/em>, may You always prosper in the path of righteousness!\u201d Vrind\u00e2 devi<\/em> said, “If She recovers by Your look itself then You need not touch Her.\u201d Then Madhumangal caught hold of Sri Krishna\u2019s hand and dragged Him inside the kunja, <\/em>where Srimati R\u00e2dh\u00e2r\u00e2ni was lying unconscious.<\/em> When Pournam\u00e2si devi and Madhumangal had left, Sri Vrind\u00e2, who was overcome with misery, forcibly lifted Sri Krishna\u2019s foot and put it on Sri R\u00e2dh\u00e2\u2019s bosom. Who can describe even a small fraction of the transcendental unparalleled exultation experience by Sri Sri R\u00e2dh\u00e2-M\u00e2dhav at this moment? As soon as Sri Krishna touched Ishwari, He was overwhelmed with bh\u00e2v<\/em>. Srimati R\u00e2dh\u00e2r\u00e2ni too woke up as if She were touched by the Mrita-sanjeevani[3]<\/sup><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/em> creeper. She arose from Her long state of unconsciousness and beheld Sri Krishna. He left the scene immediately. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Srimati had designs of kumkum<\/em> on Her chest. In Her state of love-ecstasy, the kumkum<\/em> had mixed with perspiration and become wet. When Sri Krishna placed His foot on Her bosom, it was applied to His foot. As He walked away quickly, it was transferred onto the grass. The tribal women picked it up from there and satiated their passion.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When Sri Krishna sees the audacity of the Gopis<\/em> inebriated with passion, He smiles. His smile puts the full moon to shame. At that moment, the sweetness of Sri Krishna\u2019s face enhances every moment.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n
