Srila Bhatta Gosw\u00e2mip\u00e2d says Srip\u00e2d Lil\u00e2shuk is anxious to behold Sri Krishna playing on His flute. He is praying, \u2018Sri Krishna hypnotizes the entire creation, in His form as Vrajap\u00e2lak<\/em>[1]<\/sup><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>. When will He appear before me in such form?\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

Srila Bhatta Gosw\u00e2mip\u00e2d has explained \u2018vraja-shishoh\u2019<\/em><\/strong> (the Vraja-baby) like this: \u2018Although Sri Krishna is kishor,<\/em> He is naughty like a baby and plays babyish pranks; so the poet has called Him \u2018vraja-shishoh<\/em>\u2019.\u2019 Then he has explained the sweet beauty of Sri Krishna. <\/span><\/p>\n

How is His beauty? <\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Sri Krishna is \u2018\u00e2namram-asita-bhruvor-upachit\u00e2m-akshina-pakshma-ankureshu\u2019.<\/em><\/strong> Sri Krishna\u2019s eyebrows (bhruvoh<\/em><\/strong>) are soft (\u00e2namram<\/em><\/strong>)<\/em>, dark (asita<\/em><\/strong>)<\/em> and extended (upachit\u00e2m<\/em><\/strong>)<\/em>. His eyelashes (pakshm\u00e2nkur<\/em><\/strong>) are thick and dense (akshina<\/em><\/strong>). This means, His eyebrows are more effective than the bow of Kandarpa, for they hypnotize all creation. Moreover, from beneath those eyebrows His anur\u00e2gi<\/em><\/strong> eyes are glancing mischievously here and there. <\/span><\/p>\n

“The r\u00e2g<\/em> (love) that makes the beloved appear new and the love too is new every moment, we call such love as \u2018anur\u00e2g\u2019<\/em>.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

His all-mesmerizing eyes are darting mischievous glances all around to relish the ever-new sweetness of Srimati R\u00e2dh\u00e2r\u00e2ni! How do those eyes reflect R\u00e2dh\u00e2-m\u00e2dhuri<\/em>?<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

(Sri Krishna is saying) \u2013 <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“R\u00e2dh\u00e2 is the apple of my eyes and my heart is full of R\u00e2dhik\u00e2. Everything under the sky appears R\u00e2dh\u00e2-like. I can see R\u00e2dh\u00e2 arising in the sky. The three worlds seem to comprise of nothing else other than R\u00e2dh\u00e2. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

O what shall I do? Where is the beautiful R\u00e2dh\u00e2? I shall have no peace until I see Her. Poet Yadunandan says \u2013 what will new anur\u00e2g<\/em> not do to a person?\u201d \u2013 (Pada-kalpa-taru)<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Again, how is His beauty?<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He is \u2018mridou jalpite\u2019<\/strong> <\/em>\u2013 very serene. He is full of witty and passionate conversation; hence, His ras-full<\/em> speech attracts the Vraja Gopis<\/em>. They say \u2013 <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“Krishna\u2019s sweet words are rivers of Amritam<\/em>. Those who have not heard it, their ears are like bad pennies and they are born in vain.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Sri Krishna is also \u2018\u00e2t\u00e2mram-adhar\u00e2mrite\u2019<\/strong><\/em> \u2013 His lips are condensed Amritam<\/em>. The Gopis<\/em> declare \u2013 <\/span><\/p>\n

“Krishna\u2019s Amritam<\/em> like lips and His excellent qualities put condensed nectar to shame. Whosoever has not relished their taste should have died at birth, for their tongues are like the frog\u2019s tongue.\u201d \u2013 (Sri Chaitanya-Charit\u00e2mrita.Madhya.2.30)<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Sri Krishna is \u2018mada<\/em>–kal\u00e2m-aml\u00e2na-vamshi-swaneshu\u2019<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 the song of His flute is joyous and sweet and He is absorbed in it. His own flute has enthralled Him and filled Him with ecstasy. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Srila Chaitanyad\u00e2s Gosw\u00e2mi says Sri Lil\u00e2shuk is very much anxious to behold Sri Krishna. He is saying, “My eyes are desirous to behold Vraja-shishu<\/em> Sri Krishna. You should not blame the eyes, since this beauty is all mesmerizing. Why does it captivate everyone? It is because His dark eyebrows arch like the bow of K\u00e2mdev and His eyes that are rich with thick eyelashes are full of anur\u00e2g<\/em> and are searching for His loved one. His speech is sweet and gentle. His lips are like Amritam <\/em>and His sweet flute inebriates Him. Sri Lil\u00e2shuk is thirsty for this all-enchanting form of Sri Krishna.54.<\/span><\/p>\n
