Now, unable to obtain That sweet Sri Krishna, She has become extremely agitated. Sri Lil\u00e2shuk has echoed Her lamentation in this verse. Srimati R\u00e2dh\u00e2r\u00e2ni is telling Her sakhis, &#8220;My dear friends, I am telling the truth and nothing but the truth <!--more-->that Sri Krishna\u2019s lotus like face is beyond the reach of the heavenly beings and even Lord N\u00e2r\u00e2yan of Vaikuntha. His compassion and loving glances are all the more rare. What to speak of the Devas, even Mah\u00e2-N\u00e2r\u00e2yan, Who is the Lord of the Vaikuntha planets do not possess the sweet beauty of Sri Krishna. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">&#8220;In <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">Tattva,<\/em> Mah\u00e2-N\u00e2r\u00e2yan, the Master of the Spiritual world and Sri Krishna are non-different and both are <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">sachchid\u00e2nanda<\/em>; yet Sri Krishna\u2019s form is highly exultant due to all the <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">ras<\/em> that He contains.\u201d \u2013 (B.R.S.1.2.59)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">This is the reason why Sri Laxmi Devi, who resides on the bosom of Mah\u00e2-N\u00e2r\u00e2yan, is performing <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">tapasy\u00e2<\/em> to relish that <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">ras.<\/em> Srimad-Bh\u00e2gavatam proves the statement with \u2013 <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: center;\" align=\"center\"><em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">&#8220;yad-v\u00e2nchhay\u00e2 shrir-lalan\u00e2charat-tapo vih\u00e2ya k\u00e2m\u00e2n suchiran dhrita-vrat\u00e2\u201d<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: center;\" align=\"center\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: center;\" align=\"center\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">&#8211; (Srimad-Bh\u00e2gavatam10.16.36)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">We come across a beautiful story in Sri Padma-Pur\u00e2n in this context. At one time Sri Laxmi Devi was tempted by Sri Krishna\u2019s sweetness and coveted Him. She started performing severe austerities for this purpose. Sri Bhagav\u00e2n was pleased with her <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">tapasy\u00e2<\/em> and appeared before her. He asked her the reason for her <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">tapasy\u00e2.<\/em> Devi answered, &#8220;I want to obtain You in the same <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">bh\u00e2v<\/em> as that of the Gopis in Vrind\u00e2van.\u201d Sri Bhagav\u00e2n said, &#8220;It is impossible for you. You are naturally in <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">aishwarya-bh\u00e2v, <\/em>while the Gopis of Vraja are always in pure <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">m\u00e2dhurya-bh\u00e2v<\/em>. Therefore abandon the hope of procuring <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">sev\u00e2<\/em> in Vraja-<em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">bh\u00e2v<\/em>.\u201d When Laxmi Devi heard Sri Bhagav\u00e2n, she was crestfallen. She prayed, &#8220;O my Lord and Master, then please allow me to reside on Your chest as a golden line.\u201d Sri Bhagav\u00e2n granted her prayer. Until today, Laxmi Devi is residing on Sri Krishna\u2019s bosom as a golden line. Similarly, Sriman-N\u00e2r\u00e2yan cannot steal the hearts of the Gopis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">&#8220;Sri Krishna is Swayam Bhagav\u00e2n, hence He steals Laxmi Devi\u2019s heart, but N\u00e2r\u00e2yan cannot attract the Gopis. Srila Krishnad\u00e2s Kavir\u00e2j Gosw\u00e2mip\u00e2d has explained this topic in very sweet language in Sri Chaitanya-Charit\u00e2mrita \u2013 <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">Sriman-Mah\u00e2prabhu is describing Sri Krishna in a state of love-delirium \u2013 <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;\" lang=\"EN-GB\">&#8220;Amongst all the divine pastimes of Sri Krishna the best are the ones He performs in the human-like form. In these pastimes, He dresses as a cowherd boy, holding a flute.
