rila Krishnad\u00e2s Kavir\u00e2j Gosw\u00e2mi says, after some time Srimati R\u00e2dh\u00e2r\u00e2ni arose and was about to proceed towards Vrind\u00e2van. Ishwari and Her sakhis were conversing in love-delirium. Sri Lil\u00e2shuk has translated their love-talk in this verse. <\/span><\/p>\n

Srimati is saying, dear sakhis, earlier we have prayed a lot. Now we shall beg of Him, “O kind-hearted One, please listen to at least one of our uttering. O Vibho, O Sri Krishna, You are the protector of Your devotees, when will You hear our cry amidst the sweet sound of Your flute? <\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier the poet has already said \u2013 “\u00e2swadyam\u00e2na-nija-venu-vinodan\u00e2dam<\/em>\u201d<\/strong> \u2013 Sri Krishna relishes His spellbinding flute Himself. If we see how greatly He is engrossed in His flute, we would believe that the flute casts a spell on Him as well. Otherwise, how is it possible that He is so much absorbed that He seems to pay little attention to anything else? The song of the flute is an exceptional sweetness over which Shy\u00e2msundar has a monopoly.\u00a0 <\/span>It is all captivating.\u00a0 <\/span>It hypnotises even Sri Krishna \u2013<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

<\/span>“Sri Krishna\u2019s sweetness has the natural power to agitate all beings including Sri Krishna. It attracts all ears, eyes and minds \u2013 so much so that even Sri Krishna endeavours to relish His Own sweetness.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Sri Krishna borrowed Srimati R\u00e2dh\u00e2r\u00e2ni\u2019s bh\u00e2v<\/em> and splendour in this Kaliyug simply to relish His sweetness. Shy\u00e2msundar, Who has now appeared as Sri Goursundar was overwhelmed by venu-m\u00e2dhuri<\/em> and said \u2013 <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“O Gopis, let us decide \u2013 what austerity did the flute perform in its previous birth and in which place? What great Mantra did it repeat?\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>For we find that it is drinking the Amritam<\/em> of Krishna\u2019s nectarine lips, while the Gopis are dying to relish just a drop of this ras<\/em>!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

“When I find out what austerity the flute had performed, I too shall carry out the same tapasy\u00e2; <\/em>\u00a0<\/span>if it (in spite of being a most unworthy male) can attain Sri Krishna, we shall most certainly get Him, for are we not women and hence all-qualified? Here we are dying of sorrow while he is drinking Amritam<\/em> to his heart\u2019s content \u2013 how can we bear it? Therefore we have decided to perform tapasy\u00e2.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Srimati said, “Dear sakhis, although the sweetness of His flute tempts Him and He is lost in its mellifluous notes, He is a \u2018Friend of the miserable\u2019 \u2013 and we are really miserable \u2013 so he will certainly hear our plea. Especially He is kind; therefore He will answer our prayer and give us darshan<\/em>.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
