From the sky itself he saw that Hanum\u00e2nji was engaged in worshiping Lord R\u00e2mchandra\u2019s lotus feet with marvelous ingredients collected from the woods. It appeared as if the Lord was actually present there. The Gandharva-singers were singing hymns from R\u00e2m\u00e2yan. Hanum\u00e2nji was hearing the nectarine glorification of Lord R\u00e2m and shedding tears of joy. Sometimes he was offering prostrated obeisance while glorifying the Lord in poems and prose. When N\u00e2rad saw this, he was overcome with bliss and called out loudly<!--more--> \u2013 &#8220;O Raghun\u00e2th! All glory to Sri J\u00e2naki-<em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">k\u00e2nta<\/em><\/span><a style=\"mso-footnote-id: ftn1;\" name=\"_ftnref1\" href=\"#_ftn1\"><span class=\"MsoFootnoteReference\"><span style=\"mso-special-character: footnote;\"><span class=\"MsoFootnoteReference\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><sup>[1]<\/sup><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size: normal;\">! All glory to the elder brother of Lakshman!\u201d Hearing the sweet names of his Ishtadev Lord R\u00e2m, Hanum\u00e2nji was so overwhelmed with joy that he jumped into the sky and hugged him tightly. The great sage too started dancing in the sky and washed Hanum\u00e2nji with his tears of love. Within a moment, Hanum\u00e2nji regained composure and offered obeisance to N\u00e2rad. Then he took him inside the mandir. After N\u00e2rad Muni offered obeisance to the Deity, Hanum\u00e2nji seated him on an <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">\u00e2san<\/em> with great love and care.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-indent: 36.85pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; mso-no-proof: no;\"><span style=\"font-size: normal;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-indent: 36.85pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; mso-no-proof: no;\"><span style=\"font-size: normal;\">Hanum\u00e2nji\u2019s profound devotion sent N\u00e2rad Muni in raptures. His body expressed tears and goose bumps. He spoke with great emoton, &#8220;Dear beast of the monkeys! It is true indeed that you are exceptionally blessed by Sri Bhagav\u00e2n. Aho! You are the embodiment of wonderful ocean of nectarine bhajan. You have surrendered to the Lord in all respects, and hence you have gained His supreme <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">krip\u00e2<\/em>. You are not only His servant, but also His <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">sakh\u00e2<\/em>, vehicle, <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">\u00e2san<\/em>, umbrella, fan, the one who sings odes to Him, minister, captain, best support, and the one who spreads His glory all around.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-indent: 36.85pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; mso-no-proof: no;\"><span style=\"font-size: normal;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-indent: 36.85pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; mso-no-proof: no;\"><span style=\"font-size: normal;\"><span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\"> <\/span>Parikshit Mah\u00e2r\u00e2j said, &#8220;Mother! When N\u00e2rad spoke thus, Hanum\u00e2nji, who had Sri R\u00e2mchandra\u2019s special <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">krip\u00e2<\/em>, became full of <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">viraha<\/em>. The pangs of his suffering was set ablaze. He started crying. After N\u00e2rad had consoled him somewhat, he said, \u2018O great sage! I am extremely fallen. I am bereft of the Lord\u2019s lotus feet; why are you reminding me of Him and making me cry? If He would have truly accepted me as His servant, would He have abandoned me like this? You love me, so you think I have received His <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">krip\u00e2<\/em>.\u2019<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-indent: 36.85pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; mso-no-proof: no;\"><span style=\"font-size: normal;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-indent: 36.85pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: normal;\"><strong style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; mso-no-proof: no;\">(Commentary <\/span><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; mso-no-proof: no;\">\u2013 Here, we should note the point that Hanum\u00e2nji is the eternal associate of Lord R\u00e2mchandra and performs His <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">s\u00e2ksh\u00e2t sev\u00e2<\/em>. Yet, he wishes to relish the <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">ras<\/em> of <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">s\u00e2dhan-bhakti<\/em> and wants to preach that by serving the Deity we can gain divine love. Therefore he is engaged in adoring the Deity in Kimpurushvarsha. The Deity is non-different from <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">s\u00e2ksh\u00e2t<\/em> Sri Bhagav\u00e2n. He loves His devotees, and therefore He is present in every mandir to receive <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">sev\u00e2<\/em> from us. In fact, sometimes, He is more pleased with Deity-sev\u00e2 than when a devotee serves Him in <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">s\u00e2ksh\u00e2t<\/em>. Let us understand with the help of an example. When a wife is in the presence of her husband, whether she likes it or not, she is forced to serve him. Hence, her <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">sev\u00e2<\/em> does not prove her love for him. However, when the husband has gone abroad, if a wife takes his photo, decorates it with garland, <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">chandan<\/em> etc., serves him with grat adoration to assuage the fire of her <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">viraha<\/em> \u2013 then her love for him is proved beyond doubt. When the husband hears about her <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">sev\u00e2<\/em>, he is more pleased with her than actual <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">sev\u00e2<\/em>. Her love subjugates him entirely. Similarly when supremely loving devotees, who are full of <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">anur\u00e2g<\/em> and <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">viraha<\/em> from their Beloved, serve His Deity with all their heart, they receive supreme <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">krip\u00e2<\/em> of Sri Bhagav\u00e2n.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-indent: 36.85pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; mso-no-proof: no;\"><span style=\"font-size: normal;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-indent: 36.85pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; mso-no-proof: no;\"><span style=\"font-size: normal;\">Actually, we cannot compare transcendental incidents with material ones. Although the loving wife serves her husband through his photo, she is still serving merely a picture, while we should remember that <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">s\u00e2ksh\u00e2t<\/em> Sri Bhagav\u00e2n is non-different from His Deity. In the Deity-form Sri Bhagav\u00e2n is only maintaining silence and receiving <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">sev\u00e2<\/em> from us that we offer from the depth of our hearts. In this way He blesses us. We read in Sri Chaitanya-Charit\u00e2mrita how the South Indian brahmin subjugated Sri Gop\u00e2l, who walked all the way from Sri Vrind\u00e2ban to appear as a \u2018witness\u2019. Even our great preceptors such as Sri Rupa and San\u00e2tan too had imprisoned the Lord with their love, and their Deities spoke to them, ate and interacted with them. All of us know this; therefore we should serve our deities with full understanding that \u2013 \u2018<em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">protim\u00e2 noho tumi<\/em>, <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">s\u00e2ksh\u00e2t brajendranandan<\/em>\u201d.
