A kind of humility arose in Her and She congratulated all those who have Sri Krishna\u2019s <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">darshan<\/em>.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>Sri Lil\u00e2shuk has echoed Her humble words in this verse.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>She is saying that only those who have performed lots and many pious deeds <!--more-->can get Sri Krishna\u2019s <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">darshan<\/em> \u2013 That Sri Krishna, the One Who is the primeval Purush.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>Here <strong style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\"><em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">\u00e2dya purush<\/em><\/strong> means, &#8220;The Gopis who are verily the Supreme Laxmis are the beloveds while Vrajendranandan Sri Krishna, the Supreme Purush, is their Lover.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\" lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\" lang=\"EN-GB\">Sri Lil\u00e2shuk is quoting Sri R\u00e2dh\u00e2 &#8211; &#8220;Only those who have performed lots and lots of pious deeds will get His <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">darshan<\/em>.\u201d Nevertheless, the truth is, Sri Krishna\u2019s <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">darshan<\/em> is not possible by performing any pious deed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\" lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\" lang=\"EN-GB\">Sri Krishna-<em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">darshan<\/em> is possible only if we have love for His Lotus feet.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>The <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">darshan<\/em> of Gopijana-vallabh<a style=\"mso-footnote-id: ftn1;\" name=\"_ftnref1\" href=\"#_ftn1\"><span class=\"MsoFootnoteReference\"><span style=\"mso-special-character: footnote;\"><span class=\"MsoFootnoteReference\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-GB; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;\" lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><sup>[2]<\/sup><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a> Sri Krishna with the Gopis, we must be dedicated to the Gopis.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>Hence the words \u2018pious deeds\u2019 in the verse is just a customary speech.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>Just as Devarshi N\u00e2rad has glorified Mother Yashomati \u2014 <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\" lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\" lang=\"EN-GB\">&#8220;O Mother of Krishna!<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>How can I extol your glory?<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>You have performed countless pious deeds by visiting innumerable Holy places and by offering alms, keeping vows and practicing austerities.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>Even Indra, Brahma and Maheshwar cannot get this mercy &#8211; That very same Purnabrahma<a style=\"mso-footnote-id: ftn3;\" name=\"_ftnref3\" href=\"#_ftn3\"><span class=\"MsoFootnoteReference\"><span style=\"mso-special-character: footnote;\"><span class=\"MsoFootnoteReference\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-GB; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;\" lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><sup>[3]<\/sup><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a> Sri Krishna is rolling on the earth and crying miserably begging you to lift Him on your lap!<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>So it is beyond my comprehension how many pious deeds you must have performed.\u201d<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\" lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\" lang=\"EN-GB\">Actually, this was not due to any pious deed but due to extremely deep <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">V\u00e2tsalya-prem<a style=\"mso-footnote-id: ftn4;\" name=\"_ftnref4\" href=\"#_ftn4\"><span class=\"MsoFootnoteReference\"><span style=\"mso-special-character: footnote;\"><span class=\"MsoFootnoteReference\"><strong style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\" lang=\"EN-GB\">Similarly, Srip\u00e2d Shukamuni has mentioned that Sri Krishna\u2019s <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">sakh\u00e2<\/em>s have performed many pious deeds.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\" lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\" lang=\"EN-GB\">&#8220;The <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">gy\u00e2nis<\/em> and <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">yogis<\/em> experience Impersonal Brahman, the servile devotees extol Him as the Supreme Controller and the foolish materialists think He is an ordinary human.
