In the previous verse Srila Kavir\u00e2j Gosw\u00e2mip\u00e2d had quoted \u2018t\u00e2s\u00e2m \u2013 \u00e2virbhut-chourih\u2019<\/em> from Srimad-Bh\u00e2gavatam 10.32.2. in his S\u00e2ranga-rangad\u00e2 purport.\u00a0 <\/span>Srila Vishwan\u00e2th Chakravartip\u00e2d has explained this verse from Srimad Bh\u00e2gavatam in his S\u00e2r\u00e2tha-darshini purport. He has written – \u2018In fact, Sri Krishna has made His face joyful to please the Gopis, but His heart was burning with repentance.\u00a0 <\/span>Therefore, he had placed His upper garment round His neck and was holding the end of the cloth in His hands (as if to beg forgiveness).\u00a0 <\/span>He was wearing the vanam\u00e2l\u00e2<\/em> that they placed round His neck. This showed He was pleased with them.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The poet says Sri Krishna was dressed in a manner befitting Vraja, which means He had donned peacock-feathers, gunj\u00e2-m\u00e2l\u00e2 etc.\u00a0 <\/span>While describing Sri Krishna\u2019s outfit in Vraja, Srimad Rupa Gosw\u00e2mip\u00e2d has said, “Sri Krishna\u2019s attire can be classified into three types-<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a9\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>yug <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n \u00a9\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>chatushka <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n \u00a9\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>bhuyishtha<\/span><\/em>.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n They may be pink, maroon or yellow.\u00a0 <\/span>It depends on the time.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n – [B.R.S. 2.1.347]<\/span><\/p>\n What is yug<\/em>?<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n “The attire is called \u2018yug<\/em>\u2019 when it contains an upper cloth.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
