His beauty, qualities and <em>leel\u00e2s<\/em> are all overflowing with sweetness. Sri Krishna-<em>m\u00e2dhurya <\/em>is so delicious that it attracts not only the devotees, but it arouses a strong desire in Sri Krishna Himself to relish it\u2014<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">&#8220;It is the natural property of Sri Krishna\u2019s sweetness to agitate men, women and even Sri Krishna Himself. It attracts the ears, eyes, mind and all other faculties. You have mercifully given me <em>darshan<\/em>; what else do I want? However, I shall most certainly obey Your command. If You deem it necessary to offer me a boon once more, then I would like to pray, that Sri Krishna-Karn\u00e2mritam should overwhelm Your <em>rasik<\/em> devotees with sweet <em>ras <\/em>for countless <em>kalpas.<\/em>\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">A treatise marinated in divine <em>ras,<\/em> composed by a devotee-poet is worthwhile only when loving and <em>rasik<\/em> devotees relish it. This blessed text will delight Sri Bhagav\u00e2n as well as His devotees for eons to come. What more can a poet seek? This text is immortal and so is the poet. We are strong witnesses to the fact that it continues to submerge the devotees\u2019 ears in extraordinary ever-new blissful <em>ras.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Sri Lil\u00e2shuk has disclosed his identity in this verse. <strong><em>Ish\u00e2ndev <\/em><\/strong>means \u2018the One Who is the Supreme Controller (Ish\u00e2n) and is simultaneously engaged in love-sports (dev) \u2013 that is \u2013 Sri Krishna.\u2019 There is another explanation. <strong><em>Ish\u00e2<\/em><\/strong> means \u2018R\u00e2dh\u00e2\u2019<em>, <\/em>Her <strong><em>\u00e2n <\/em><\/strong>(life and soul) \u2013 that is, Sri Krishna. Sri Sri R\u00e2dh\u00e2-Krishna\u2019s lotus feet are the adornments for my head and my heart.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><em><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Neebi-D\u00e2modar <\/span><\/em><\/strong><span lang=\"EN-GB\">also refers to Sri Sri R\u00e2dh\u00e2-Krishna. Srimati R\u00e2dh\u00e2r\u00e2ni is the heroine of this beautiful pastime. We discover this <em>leel\u00e2<\/em> in Bhavishya-Pur\u00e2n.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><em><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">&#8220;Once in the full moon night, during the month of K\u00e2rtik, Srimati R\u00e2dh\u00e2r\u00e2ni had come to the <em>sanket-kunja<\/em> for <em>abhis\u00e2r. <\/em>Sri Krishna was late for the meeting. Out of love-anger, Srimati R\u00e2dh\u00e2r\u00e2ni frowned and tied Him up with Her belt (<strong><em>neebi<\/em><\/strong>) that was engraved in gold. Sri Krishna appeased Her with &#8220;We had a feast in our house, and how would Mother have managed had I not helped Her?\u201d Then Srimati released Him from the bondage. Since then, Sri Krishna got another name \u2013\u2018<strong><em>Neebi-D\u00e2modar<\/em><\/strong>\u2019. I constantly meditate on Such Neebi-D\u00e2modar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Srila Bhatta Gosw\u00e2mip\u00e2d says &#8211; \u2018<\/span><strong><em><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Ish\u00e2na-deva-charana-\u00e2bharanena<\/span><\/em><\/strong><em><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u2019<\/span><\/em><strong><span lang=\"EN-GB\"> <\/span><\/strong><span lang=\"EN-GB\">means \u2018Sri Krishna, Who is worshiped by Lord Shiva\u2019. \u2018<strong><em>Neebi\u2019<\/em><\/strong> means \u2018principle wealth\u2019, that is \u2018<em>prem<\/em>\u2019, and \u2018<strong><em>d\u00e2m<\/em><\/strong>\u2019 means \u2018cord\u2019. Together they refer to Sri Krishna Whom we can bind with the cord of <em>prem<\/em>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Srila Chaitanyad\u00e2s Gosw\u00e2mi says &#8211; As in the very beginning, Sri Lil\u00e2shuk is once more glorifying Sri Krishna, Who is both his Shiksh\u00e2-guru as well as <\/span><em><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Ishtadev<\/span><\/em><span lang=\"EN-GB\">.
