{"id":191,"date":"2008-08-13T16:08:49","date_gmt":"2008-08-13T10:38:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kunjeshwari.com\/sweetblog\/?p=191"},"modified":"2008-08-27T16:25:38","modified_gmt":"2008-08-27T10:55:38","slug":"introduction-part-4-srila-chaitanya-dass-purport","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kunjeshwari.com\/sweetblog\/sweet_books\/excerpts-from-sri-krishna-karnamritam\/introduction-part-4-srila-chaitanya-dass-purport\/","title":{"rendered":"Introduction &#8211; Part 4 &#8211; Srila Chaitanya das&#8217;s purport"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">SUBODHANI PURPORT<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Srila Chaitanyad\u00e2s Gosw\u00e2mi&#8217;s \u2018Subodhani&#8217; purport is right next to Sri Krishna-Vallabh\u00e2 purport.\u00a0 Many are of the opinion that Sri Chaitanya d\u00e2s was the elder brother of Sri Kavi Karnapur.\u00a0 However, there is no evidence to show that Sri Shiv\u00e2nanda Sen<a name=\"_ftnref1\" href=\"#_ftn1\"><sup>1<\/sup><\/a>&#8216;s son Sri Chaitanyad\u00e2s had ever written any book or purport.\u00a0 At the end of Subodhani purport we find &#8211;<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;<em>srigovinda-pada-seva-prabhavad-udita swayam<\/em>,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>tika chaitanyadastasya\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 krishna-karnamrita-ashraya&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em> <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Meaning &#8211; &#8220;This Subodhani purport has manifested on her own from Sri Chaitanyad\u00e2s due to the <em>sev\u00e2<\/em> performed at the lotus-feet of Sri Govinda&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sri Chaitanyad\u00e2s was the priest at Sri Govinda Mandir of Vrind\u00e2van.\u00a0 He was the grand disciple of Sri Gad\u00e2dhar Pandit Gosw\u00e2mi and the disciple of Sri Bhugarbha Gosw\u00e2mi. Srila Kavir\u00e2j Gosw\u00e2mi has written in Sri Chaitanya-Charit\u00e2mrita &#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;<em>pandit gosair shisya bhugarbha<\/em> <em>gosain,<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>gour-katha bina jar mukhe anya nai.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>tanr shisya gobinda-pujak chaitanyadas<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Meaning &#8211; &#8220;Bhugarbha Gos\u00e2in &#8211; who was Sri Gad\u00e2dhar Pandit&#8217;s disciple, discussed nothing other than Gouranga Mah\u00e2prabhu.
