The earth of Vraja is indeed pure, since Sri Krishna, Who is the Supreme Personality, is wandering<a name=\"_ftnref4\" href=\"#_ftn4\"><strong><strong><sup>4<\/sup><\/strong><\/strong><\/a> there, in human-like form, decorated with attractive <em>vana-m\u00e2l\u00e2<\/em><a name=\"_ftnref5\" href=\"#_ftn5\"><sup>5<\/sup><\/a>. He tends the cattle along with Baladev and plays various sports therein.\u00a0 Even Goddess Lakshmi worships His Lotus-feet.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211; (S.B.10.44.13)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">While explaining this verse from Srimad- Bh\u00e2gavatam, Sri Jiva has stated &#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;When someone says &#8211; \u2018The hills are present&#8217;, we are given to understand that the hills are always there. In the same way, the word \u2018<em>anchati<\/em>&#8216; means that Sri Krishna is always present in Gokul.\u00a0 The women of Mathur\u00e2 have spoken these very true words, by the mercy of Sri <em>Bhagav\u00e2n<\/em> alone.\u00a0 Otherwise, how could they have said that &#8211; \u2018Krishna is wandering in Vraja&#8217;, when they are seeing that He has come to Mathur\u00e2. This means that, they have expressed the Supreme truth that He sports eternally in Sri Vrind\u00e2van during the unmanifested pastimes.&#8221; &#8211; (K.S. 114)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sri Padma pur\u00e2n says &#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;One who has not drunk the water of the Yamunaa, wherein Sri Krishna, the enemy of Kamsa, <strong>plays<\/strong> with His cattle and the <em>Gopis<\/em>, is very unfortunate indeed!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sri Skandapur\u00e2n says &#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Sri Krishna and Balar\u00e2m, surrounded by the cowherd boys, <strong>play <\/strong>eternally in Vrind\u00e2van along with the calves.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The present tense used in both these verses proves that Sri Krishna is eternally present in Vrind\u00e2van.\u00a0 Sri Lil\u00e2shuk is saying &#8211; That very same Vrind\u00e2van-Vih\u00e2ri is my Shiksh\u00e2-Guru (the master who imparts instructions).&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Who is \u2018Shiksh\u00e2-Guru&#8217;?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Shiksh\u00e2-Guru is the embodiment of Sri Krishna.\u00a0 He is present in two forms<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">(1) \u2018<em>Antary\u00e2mi<\/em>&#8216; &#8211; (the One who dwells in our heart) and<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">(2) A great devotee.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211; (C.C. \u00c2di.1.28)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">(Sri Uddhav told Sri Krishna) -&#8220;O Lord! You are present externally in the form of a preceptor, and internally as \u2018<em>Antary\u00e2mi<\/em>&#8216;. A devotee has so many bad qualities, for example, material desires. They are unfavourable for devotion. In these two forms, You destroy all these <em>anarthas<\/em>.\u00a0 Hence the wise men are exulted when they think what favour You have bestowed on them (by destroying their <em>anarthas<\/em> such as material desires). They feel that they will never be able to repay Your debt even if they were to live as long as Brahm\u00e2.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211; (S.B. 11.29.6)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In Sri Git\u00e2, Sri Krishna has told Arjun &#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Those whose hearts are ever surrendered unto Me, and who lovingly offer devotional service to Me, I offer all such devotees an intelligence by which they can obtain Me&#8221;. &#8211; (B.G.10.10)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The above statement proves that Sri Krishna is present in all of us as <em>Antary\u00e2mi<\/em> Who imparts instructions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sri Krishna has told Uddhav-<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Know Sri Gurudev as My embodiment. Never ever disrespect him by considering him to be a mere human, since all demi-gods reside in the body of Sri Gurudev.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;The scriptures prove that Sri Guru is the form of Sri Krishna.\u00a0 Krishna bestows mercy on His devotees in the form of Guru.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211; (C.C. \u00c2di.1.27)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Sri Krishna is considered the Guru in Vrajadh\u00e2m<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sri Kavir\u00e2j Gosw\u00e2mi has quoted the following verse from Bhakti-Ras\u00e2mrita-Sindhu, in his S\u00e2ranga &#8211; Rangad\u00e2 purport &#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;How to whisper into each other&#8217;s ears, how to flatter the messenger (so that\u00a0 they agree to carry messages), how to cheat one&#8217;s husband deftly, how to proceed towards a flower-grove in the dead of night, how to act deaf when the elders give good advice and how to keep one&#8217;s ears alert for the music of the flute? O Krishna! The fair sex of Vraja are recently studying these arts from a school where Your budding youth happens to be the Guru.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Navakishor<a name=\"_ftnref6\" href=\"#_ftn6\"><sup>6<\/sup><\/a> Sri Krishna is the Primeval Guru of all these arts that the adolescent girls of Vraja are learning! Sri Lil\u00e2shuk has realised all these sweetness of Sri Krishna.\u00a0 Hence he says &#8211; &#8220;The One Whose crown is adorned with peacock feathers is my Shiksh\u00e2-Guru&#8221;.\u00a0 In this very same Karn\u00e2mritam, he has recited another verse &#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<table border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\" width=\"100%\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p><br class=\"spacer_\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;O Dev, You are my love, You are my desire, You are my Guru Who dispenses knowledge, You are my wealth, You are my life, You are the goal of my life, You are my God, I have no one but You.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p align=\"right\">&#8211; (K.K.104).<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In this verse also, he refers to Sri Krishna as Shiksh\u00e2-Guru (Who dispenses knowledge).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">What does the poet mean by \u2018<em>shikhi-pinchha-mouli&#8217;<\/em>?&#8217;<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By the words \u2018<strong><em>shikhi-pinchha-mouli<\/em><\/strong><em>&#8216;<\/em> &#8211; the One Who wears a crown of peacock-feathers &#8211; he has expressed the wonderful sweetness of Sri Krishna.\u00a0 While explaining these words, Srila Kavir\u00e2j Gosw\u00e2mi has reminded us of the verse in Srimad-Bh\u00e2gavatam that extols the sweetness of Sri Krishna in the following manner-<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;When Sri Krishna appeared to the damsels of Vraja, His lotus-face radiated a soft smile, He was decked in a golden yellow cloth, He wore a <em>vana-m\u00e2l\u00e2<\/em> around His neck and He was the very embodiment of Madan-Mohan<a name=\"_ftnref7\" href=\"#_ftn7\"><sup>7<\/sup><\/a>!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211; [S.B. 10.32.2].<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">(Sri Uddhav told Vidurji)- &#8220;That form<a name=\"_ftnref8\" href=\"#_ftn8\"><sup>8<\/sup><\/a> of Lord Krishna was for the purpose of His pastimes in this world. He had manifested that form in order to exhibit the power of His Yogm\u00e2y\u00e2. Even He was wonder struck by His Own beauty. Even Lady Fortune covets it. His body is so beautiful that it needs no ornament to beautify it; instead it beautifies the ornaments it wears.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211; [S.B. 3.2.12].<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">(to be continued)<\/p>\n<hr size=\"1\" \/>\n<p><a name=\"_ftn1\" href=\"#_ftnref1\"><sup>1<\/sup><\/a> worshipped Deity<\/p>\n<p><a name=\"_ftn2\" href=\"#_ftnref2\"><sup>2<\/sup><\/a> the Son of Nanda Mah\u00e2r\u00e2j<\/p>\n<p><a name=\"_ftn3\" href=\"#_ftnref3\"><sup>3<\/sup><\/a> One Who sports in Sri Vrind\u00e2van<\/p>\n<p><a name=\"_ftn4\" href=\"#_ftnref4\"><sup>4<\/sup><\/a> Please note the present continuous tense which indicates that although Sri Krishna is in Mathur\u00e2 He is still in Vrajadh\u00e2m.<\/p>\n<p><a name=\"_ftn5\" href=\"#_ftnref5\"><sup>5<\/sup><\/a> garland of wild flowers<\/p>\n<p><a name=\"_ftn6\" href=\"#_ftnref6\"><sup>6<\/sup><\/a> The One with eternal budding youth, Sri Krishna<\/p>\n<p><a name=\"_ftn7\" href=\"#_ftnref7\"><sup>7<\/sup><\/a> the One Who enchants the Love-god<\/p>\n<p><a name=\"_ftn8\" href=\"#_ftnref8\"><sup>8<\/sup><\/a> the sweet form of Lord Krishna as expressed in Vrajadh\u00e2m<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Ohh!
