One day he was going for darshan Sri Nathji. He chanced upon a flower man selling a beautiful flower. He decided to buy it for Sri Nathji as such a nice flower is meant for Sri Nathji only. He approached the seller to buy it, when all of a sudden there arrived a Muslim king. He too approached the flower man and asked the price of the same flower. He intended to gift it to the nautch-girl he was going to visit that evening. He knew that she had numerous visitors. However, he longed for her affection, and wanted her to reserve a special place for him in her heart. Both asked the price at the same time. Initially the price was 1 rupee, but suddenly it became the center of an auction, with Yamuna dasji and the Muslim nawab competing against each other, bidding higher and higher for that flower. The wonderment of the flower-seller was increasing each moment. He was getting real excited, since it had never occurred to him that he would become so rich overnight. The price rocket and finally halted with Sri Yamuna das quoting 125000 rupees. He was firmly established in the belief that everything beautiful was meant for Sri Nathji and Sri Nathji alone. At this point, the Muslim king backed out, because he did not have true love for his girl friend; he thought , why to waste that kind of money for a mere woman ? And that too a prostitute? I think at long last, Sri Nathji gave him intelligence. Also the darshan-association of such a great saint as Jamunadasji dragged such mercy from Sri Nathji ? Who can tell?

Now, five hundred years back it was a huge amount, you see? And Sri Jamuna das, out of his intense prem for Sri Nathji, did pay that price. Sri Jamuna das brought that flower to Sri Nathji for Sringar that morning. The priest put that beautiful flower on the crown of Sri Nathji and the crown kept tilting all the while. So Sri Goonsai ji Maharaj asked Sri Nathji , “Why are you doing like this Kanha?” Sri Nathji replied in all seriousness, ” I can not bear the weight of this flower – very heavy!” Since that time and till today, Sri Nathji ‘s crown is tilting.

Later on Sri jamuna das sold all his assets and paid the money to the flower man.
