Generally, the word \u2018<em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">apavarga<\/em>\u2019 means \u2018liberation\u2019. However, here, \u2018<em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">apavarga<\/em>\u2019 means \u2018<strong style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\">the blissful body<\/strong> <strong style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\">that Sri Krishna offers to His devotee\u2019<\/strong>. In Srimad-Bh\u00e2gavatam, Sri Krishna has told Uddhav \u2013 <!--more--><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Verdana;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Verdana;\">&#8220;When man gives up all actions and surrenders totally unto me, I desire to make him more special than the gy\u00e2n-yogis<\/span><a style=\"mso-footnote-id: ftn1;\" name=\"_ftnref1\" href=\"#_ftn1\"><span class=\"MsoFootnoteReference\"><span style=\"mso-special-character: footnote;\"><span class=\"MsoFootnoteReference\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><sup>1<\/sup><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">, and he then obtains eternal life and becomes my very own.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: right;\" align=\"right\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">&#8211; [S.B. 11.29.34]<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">To explain the above verse, Srila Vishwan\u00e2th Chakravartip\u00e2d has written \u2013 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Verdana;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">&#8220;The word \u2018<em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">cha\u2019<\/em> in this verse (the original verse from Srimad-Bh\u00e2gavatam) signifies that the important thing in <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">bhajan<\/em> is to become a loving associate of Sri Krishna\u201d.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Verdana;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Sriman-Mah\u00e2prabhu says that, the body of a surrendered devotee is not material.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Verdana;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\"> <\/span>&#8220;A devotee surrenders himself at the time of initiation. At that very moment, Krishna makes him His own. He makes the devotee\u2019s body conscious and blissful. In the verse \u2018<em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">varna-vidh\u00e2nam<\/em>&#8211;<em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">apavargashcha\u2019<\/em> of 5<sup>th<\/sup> <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">skandha<\/em><\/span><\/span><a style=\"mso-footnote-id: ftn2;\" name=\"_ftnref2\" href=\"#_ftn2\"><span class=\"MsoFootnoteReference\"><span style=\"mso-special-character: footnote;\"><span class=\"MsoFootnoteReference\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><sup>2<\/sup><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Verdana;\"> of Srimad-Bh\u00e2gavatam, Sridhar Sw<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"mso-ansi-language: EN-US;\">\u00e2<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">mi has explained the word \u2018<em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">apavarga<\/em>\u2019 as \u2018<em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">prem-bhakti\u2019<\/em>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Verdana;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">The Sanskrit dictionary says \u2013 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Verdana;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\"> <\/span>&#8220;\u2018<em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">Apavarga\u2019<\/em> means sacrifice, liberation, <strong style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\">termination of action, success<\/strong>.\u201d \u2013 Medini-Kosh<\/span><\/span><a style=\"mso-footnote-id: ftn3;\" name=\"_ftnref3\" href=\"#_ftn3\"><span class=\"MsoFootnoteReference\"><span style=\"mso-special-character: footnote;\"><span class=\"MsoFootnoteReference\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><sup>3<\/sup><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Verdana;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Using the last two meanings (<strong style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\">termination of action, success<\/strong>), Srila Bhatta Gosw\u00e2mi has thus explained the word \u2018<em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">apavarga<\/em>\u2019 \u2013 &#8220;Sri <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">Bhagav\u00e2n<\/em> is most merciful and fulfils all the desires of His devotee. Hence, He honours His surrendered devotee with success in <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">bhajan<\/em>, without any delay.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\"> <\/span>He bestows \u2018<em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">apavarga<\/em>\u2019 to a surrendered devotee.\u201d <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Verdana;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\"> <\/span>This \u2018Vastu\u2019 has another quality \u2013 he is \u2018<strong style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\"><em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">akhilodaram\u2019<\/em><\/strong><em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\"> <\/em>(generous). \u2018<em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">Akhila\u2019<\/em> means \u2018<em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">kalpa-vriksha\u2019<\/em>. However, He is more generous than a \u2018<em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">kalpa-vriksha\u2019<\/em>. You cannot get anything from a \u2018<em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">kalpa-vriksha\u2019<\/em> without first praying to it. However, the sweet Lord often gives us gifts for which we have not prayed. Srimad-Bh\u00e2gavatam says \u2013 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Verdana;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\"> <\/span>&#8220;Sri <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">Bhagav\u00e2n<\/em> places His infinitely sweet lotus\u2013feet in the heart of His devotee in order to bless him, even though the devotee may not have wished for it.\u201d -[S.B.5.19.28]<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Verdana;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">\u2018<strong style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\"><em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">Akhila<\/em><\/strong><em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">\u2019<\/em> also means \u2018<strong style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\">the good qualities of a hero\u2019<\/strong>. In this respect too He is supreme, since He is the treasure house of all good qualities.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\"> <\/span>Such a \u2018Vastu\u2019 exists eternally in Sri Vrind\u00e2van.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Verdana;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">So far, Srila Kavir\u00e2j Gosw\u00e2mip\u00e2d was explaining the meaning from <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">s\u00e2dhak<\/em> point of view.
