An American decided to write a book about famous\u00a0places of worship \u00a0around the World.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

So he bought a plane ticket and took a trip to Rome – naturally.<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

On his first day , as he was strolling with the Pope, marvelling the Vatican, , he noticed a golden telephone mounted on the wall with a sign that read ‘$10,000 per call’.<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

The American, being intrigued, asked the Pope what the telephone was used for.<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

He replied that it was a direct line to heaven\u00a0\u00a0 and that for $10,000 you could talk to God.<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

The American thanked the\u00a0Pope \u00a0and went along his way.<\/p>\n

His next stop was Arabistan. There he saw the same type of phone with the sign $10,000 for a call. He was really surprised since he did not expect a phone like\u00a0 this outside Rome. He hailed a maulvi strolling nearby and asked him the use of the phone. The mauilvi replied- “It is to make a direct call to Behesht (heaven) if you want to talk to God. “<\/p>\n

The American thanked the maulvi and went along his way.<\/p>\n

From here he went to China. Here too he saw the golden phone inside a Temple. He asked a bhikkhu who was walking nearby, what the phone was used for. He told him that for $10,000 he could communicate directly with God.<\/p>\n

Next stop was in Japan. There, at a very large cathedral, he saw the same golden telephone with the same sign under it.<\/p>\n

He wondered if this was the same kind of telephone he saw in Rome, Arabistan and China and he asked a nearby nun what its purpose was.<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

She told him that it was a direct line to heaven and that for $10,000 he Could talk to God.<\/p>\n

‘ O.K., thank you,’ said the American.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

He then traveled to Srilanka , Israel, Russia , and many other countries.<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

In every\u00a0place of worship,\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0he saw the same golden telephone with the same ‘$10,000 Per call’ sign under it.<\/p>\n

The American, upon leaving\u00a0Iisrael decided to travel to up to India to See if\u00a0 the poor nation called ‘India’ \u00a0had the same phone.<\/p>\n

He arrived in India , and again, in the first\u00a0Mandir \u00a0he entered, there was the same golden telephone, but this time the sign under it read ‘One Rupee per call<\/strong><\/span>.’<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

The American was so surprised that he asked the priest about the sign.<\/p>\n

‘Father, I’ve traveled all over World and I’ve seen this same golden Telephone in many churches and temples. I’m told that it is a direct line to Heaven, But in the US – and everywhere else – the price was $10,000 per call. Why is it so cheap here?’<\/p>\n
