Radhe Radhe !<\/p>\n
A monk\u00a0 had studied under the Zen master Kassan for a period of time. He began to feel he was not geting enough “enlightenment”. As a result he left him to go to many other places for more Zen enquiry. However, he could not find any place that fitted him.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, at any place visited, he heard that Kassan was praised as one of the great Zen masters.<\/p>\n
Therefore, the monk was back with Kassan and asked him:
\n-At any place I visited, it was said that you, Sir, have very deep understanding, and that you are a highly reached Mahatma. Why didn’t you tell me about that?<\/p>\n
Kassan replied:
\n-When you started to cook, I kindled the fire. When you shared the food, I gave you my bowl of food. Was there any time I disappointed you?
\nRight under these words, the monk awakened.<\/p>\n
“A Spritual Master teaches by his own acharan, and not by mere pravachans (lectures). Mahaprabhu too taught the disciples by\u00a0 his own conduct – “aponi achari prabhu jagate shikhaay.”\u00a0 He was satisfied to live in the dingy little room of Gambheera, and slept on a mat on the floor, he did not accept any donations from grihasthas for “vishayir anna khaile malin hoy man”. He only partook prasadam from those hands that chanted one lakh Holy Names.\u00a0His Goswamis of Vrindaban too were true “Acharyas” – “those who did acharan”.\u00a0 Now an acharya is rare to come across. The time has come when it is better to read the Mahajan-\u00a0books, take inspiration, and follow them.\u00a0 Jai Nitai ! Jai Gour !!<\/p>\n
