Sweetness means \u2018attractiveness in every situation\u2019. Sri Krishna\u2019s face is immersed in sweet ras<\/em> in every situation; Srila Bhatta Gosw\u00e2mip\u00e2d has explained “<\/span>m\u00e2dhurya \u2013 magna \u2013 \u00e2nanam<\/strong><\/span><\/em>\u201d<\/span><\/em> as “He who is the very life of devotees immersed in sweet ras<\/em>.\u201d <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The devotees of Vraja alone are immersed in sweet ras<\/em>, since the devotional worship in Vraja is verily the s\u00e2dhan\u00e2 <\/em>of m\u00e2dhurya<\/em>.\u00a0 <\/span>In addition, Sri Krishna\u2019s sweetness is expressed the most in the presence of Sri Sri R\u00e2dh\u00e2r\u00e2ni. Hence, the sakhi\u2013manjaris<\/em> who worship the Divine Couple are the devotees who are the most immersed in m\u00e2dhurya\u2013ras <\/em>than anyone else. The Beloved of Sri R\u00e2dh\u00e2\u2019s heart in the form of Navakishor Shy\u00e2m is the very lifeline for these sakhi\u2013manjaris<\/em>. <\/span><\/p>\n

Meditating thus, Sri Lil\u00e2shuk attained the zenith of sphuran.<\/em> He saw “pronmilan\u2013nava\u2013youvanam<\/em><\/strong>.<\/em>\u201d \u2013 “this splendour is nothing but a mass of l\u00e2vanya, <\/em>since it is the characteristic of Sri Krishna\u2019s budding youth.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Here \u2018budding youth\u2019 refers to the end of \u2018kishor\u2019 stage.\u00a0 <\/span>Srimad Rupa Gosw\u00e2micharan has described \u2018budding youth\u2019 in the following manner \u2013 <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“O fair maiden! Behold the divine budding youth of Pit\u00e2mbar1<\/sup><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/em> Who is an expert at defeating the sweetness of the Love-god. His physical beauty is destroying the patience of married women! He is an expert at love-making, and the corner of His eyes stop the proud dance of the Khanjan bird.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

An ambassadress2<\/sup><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a> is expressing how much the Gopis<\/em> are engrossed in the m\u00e2dhurya<\/em> of Sri Krishna\u2019s budding youth – <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“Their eyes reflect Shy\u00e2m, they talk about Shy\u00e2m, and they are enwrapped with Shy\u00e2m. They are wearing Shy\u00e2m\u2013garland with Shy\u00e2m\u2013pendant and have Shy\u00e2m in their laps. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

O M\u00e2dhav! I know You will beg to defer. But, they are good girls belonging to respectable families. It is You Who have perverted their minds with Your magic.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You have fascinated them so much that now they can think of none but You, and they find their own relatives (who stop them from meeting You), as \u2018sinners\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

They cover their beautiful faces and cry continuously until all the kohl of their eyes is washed away.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You are verily the Ocean of Love and the Brilliance of the night3<\/sup><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>, and You have cast a spell on them. Poet Govinda d\u00e2s says \u2013 the dear Gopis <\/em>are waiting for You with so much anticipation – O! When will we meet Nanda Kishor?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
