Sri Lil\u00e2shuk saw the magnificent Shy\u00e2msundar, with His face immersed in sweetness, His budding youth adorned with l\u00e2vanya<\/em> and the nectarine flute held close to His lips. He was surging with sweet beauty and brilliant l\u00e2vanya<\/em>. Along with this, he also saw \u2013 “apina\u2013stana\u2013kutmala\u2013\u00e2bhira\u2013bhito gopibhir\u2013\u00e2radhitar<\/em><\/strong>\u201d<\/em> i.e. \u2013 “He is kissed and tightly embraced by damsels of Vraja from all sides. They are serving Him sweetly with their high\u2013raised breasts which are like the lotus buds.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Srila Bhatta Gosw\u00e2mip\u00e2d says, one may question whether the word \u2018jyoti<\/em>\u2019 in the verse refers to the impersonal Brahman. The answer is \u2018No\u2019. The poet is saying that the Gopa<\/em>\u2013beauties worship Him. Hence, He is the God of Love.\u00a0 <\/span>You may say, may be the women are worshipping Brahman?\u00a0 <\/span>Therefore, the poet is specifying that they are worshipping Him with their high breasts that are like golden lotus-buds. Therefore, we can be sure they are not worshipping the attribute-less Brahman. Since lotus-buds are hard, it indicates that the Gopis<\/em> are in their budding youth.\u00a0 <\/span>The gorgeous body of the Gopa-Kishori<\/em>1<\/sup><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a> who have attained the stage of mah\u00e2bh\u00e2v<\/em> is the topmost ingredient to serve the Rasar\u00e2j<\/em> Sri Krishna. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“They (the Gopis<\/em>) serve Krishna by offering their bodies in the mood of a sweetheart.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n
