One Who is captivated by Love, Who is the seat of Supreme Beauty that is forever new, graceful and charming at every moment – may That kishor Sri Krishna with His large alluring eyes be forever inspired in my heart.13.<\/span><\/p>\n

uring the R\u00e2s-leel\u00e2<\/em> Sri Krishna <\/span>wants<\/span> to take R\u00e2dh\u00e2r\u00e2ni away from all the Gopis to sport with Her in seclusion. Therefore, oblivious to all the other Gopis, He is sending signals through His eyes indicating R\u00e2dh\u00e2r\u00e2ni to proceed towards a particular flower-grove. Sri <\/span>Lil\u00e2shuk is noticing this, <\/span>and as R\u00e2dh\u00e2r\u00e2ni\u2019s sakhi, he is surprised, joyous and eager. Hence, he utters this verse. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The poet is surprised<\/strong> because not one of the crores of Gopis, other than R\u00e2dh\u00e2r\u00e2ni, could read the message of Sri Krishna\u2019s eyes. He is joyful <\/strong>because by the mercy of R\u00e2dh\u00e2r\u00e2ni he could understand the message. Lastly, he is eager<\/strong> to behold Their dalliance. Sri Lil\u00e2shuk\u2019s mind was absorbed in the beauty of Sri Krishna\u2019s eyes as they were sending signals to R\u00e2dh\u00e2r\u00e2ni and in this verse, he has described that sweet alluring beauty of Sri Krishna\u2019s eyes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sri Lil\u00e2shuk considers himself a sakhi and when he beheld Sri Krishna\u2019s glances, he was tempted to relish the ras<\/em> of R\u00e2dh\u00e2- Krishna\u2019s dense love. Thus, he prayed, \u2018May kishor1<\/sup><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a> Sri Krishna, Who is the Master of my soul, flood all our hearts with the ras<\/em> of the love He has for Sri R\u00e2dh\u00e2\u2019. The beauty of Sri Krishna\u2019s eyes is by nature, incomparable and so the Mah\u00e2jan says \u2013<\/span><\/p>\n

“Govinda\u2019s eyes are so wide, so large, so artistic and with rosy corners; they are so serene, deep, restless, intoxicated with youth and agitating. May they reveal themselves in my heart forever.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

The ras<\/em>-full glances of these eyes are as attractive to the Vraja-balas as they are troublesome! A Vrajab\u00e2l\u00e2 is saying –<\/span><\/p>\n

“Languorous with amorous ras<\/em>, He glances around softly and dreamily. His gaze is lethal and it pierces the heart, making me feverish. Dear friend, my heart cries for Him. How many ages have passed since I have not beheld K\u00e2n\u00e2i (Krishna)? I remember Him day and night. I am so anxious to see Him. I keep on remembering His soft steps. He has forcibly lodged Himself in the innermost compartment of my heart. O friend! Alas! Alas! Tell me, what do I do? Who has decorated Him with chandan tilak? Does he no know, it is verily a snare for the heart ? Balar\u00e2m d\u00e2s says- we cannot uphold our family honour any more\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n
