Whenever we want to talk about an object we say its name.\u00a0 For example a thirsty person says &#8220;Please give me water&#8221;. Immediately we think of a liquid substance that quenches thirst. In this manner every person, object, concept or idea has a name that distinguishes it from others.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;<em>N\u00e2mi&#8221;<\/em> is the object to which the name belongs. <em>\u2018N\u00e2m&#8217;<\/em> is simply the word, while \u2018<em>n\u00e2mi&#8217;<\/em> is the object itself. The only function the <em>n\u00e2m serves <\/em>is to denote the object &#8211; it has no quality of the object whatsoever. Had it not been so, we would have quenched our thirst simply by uttering &#8220;water&#8221; &#8211; there would have been no need to actually drink water. If <em>n\u00e2m <\/em>and <em>n\u00e2mi <\/em>would have been non-different, <em>n\u00e2m<\/em> would have had all the power of <em>n\u00e2mi. <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Shabda-Shakti-Prak\u00e2shik\u00e2<a name=\"_ftnref1\" href=\"#_ftn1\"><sup>1<\/sup><\/a> says &#8211; Names are of two types &#8211;<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Man-made<\/li>\n<li>Eternal<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We give names to various worldly destructible objects; they are just words and do not have any characteristic of the said objects. Such names are \u2018man-made&#8217;. However in the divine world there are names that have existed since eternity and will remain forever. So we call them \u2018eternal&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Amongst these names, the names of God almighty are non-different from Him.
