May my mind be immersed in the flood of joy! A single drop of that joyful ocean is capable of drowning the entire creation; in comparison, a <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">s\u00e2dhak<\/em> is very insignificant in deed. \u2018<strong style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\">Anuplavatam<\/strong>\u2019 means \u2013 &#8220;may my mind be immersed in it again and again\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt;\" lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt;\" lang=\"EN-GB\">The question may arise \u2013 &#8220;Since this joy is as vast as an ocean, is it the same as the bliss of attaining Brahman?\u201d The poet answers \u2013 &#8220;No. It is <strong style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\">m\u00e2dhurya \u2013 v\u00e2ridhi \u2013 mad ambu taranga &#8211;<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>bhangi \u2013 shring\u00e2ra \u2013 sankulita \u2013 shita \u2013 kishora \u2013 vesham<\/strong>\u201d which means, &#8220;This joy is the soothing Kishor\u2013form that is a panacea for every ailment \u2013 this joy is the One Who is bejewelled with the agitated waves of <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">maadhurya-vaaridhi<a style=\"mso-footnote-id: ftn1;\" name=\"_ftnref1\" href=\"#_ftn1\"><span class=\"MsoFootnoteReference\"><span style=\"mso-special-character: footnote;\"><span class=\"MsoFootnoteReference\"><strong style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt; mso-ansi-language: EN-GB; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;\" lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><sup>1<\/sup><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/em>; therefore it is higher.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt;\" lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-GB; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;\" lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-GB; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;\" lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Sweetness is synonymous with that which attracts the mind. Ras is a property of sweetness, so ras and sweetness are one and the same.
