Srila Kavir\u00e2j Gosw\u00e2mip\u00e2d has described the nineteen foot-signs of Sri Krishna \u2013<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“Sri Krishna\u2019s beautiful feet are present in all their glory, etched with discus, half-moon, barley, octahedron, pitcher, umbrella, triangle, sky, bow, swastika,<\/em> thunderbolt, cattle-hoof, conch-shell, fish, upward line, elephant-hook, lotus, flag and ripe rose-apple. These prove that He is Swayam Bhagav\u00e2n<\/em>1<\/sup><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>.\u201d\u2013 (G.L.16.6)<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Here Srila Kavir\u00e2j Gosw\u00e2mip\u00e2d has stated these nineteen symbols alone to be the proof of being \u2018Swayam Bhagav\u00e2n\u2019<\/em>. These symbols have been described in the Padmapur\u00e2n, Skandapur\u00e2n, Var\u00e2hapur\u00e2n, Matsyapur\u00e2n, Hayashirsha\u2013Pancha\u2013R\u00e2tra, Krama\u2013Dipik\u00e2, Gop\u00e2l-T\u00e2pani etc. But none of these scriptures mention all the nineteen symbols d together. They are found scattered in the scriptures. According to the Goudiya Vaishnav preceptors, wherever less than nineteen symbols are mentioned, we should understand that they are referring to the foot-signs of incarnations. All nineteen symbols together are indicative of \u2018Swayam Bhagav\u00e2n<\/em>\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n
