Divine Panchâmritam
By
Prabhupâd Sri Binodkishor Goswâmi
Srimad-Bhâgavatam is the ripened fruit of the Vedas that are like a wish-fulfilling tree (Kalpa-taru). It is the text-form of the most compassionate leelâ-vigraha1 Sri Govinda. It is a bower of the transcendental Nandan-kânan2and is adored by all – devatâs, sages and humans alike. This grand text is so delectable that sâdhus, yogis, mahâtmâs, nyâsis and devotees – all are lost in relishing its ras according to their taste. In our time, those who have engaged all their resources to serve this great text and relish its ras are – Shachinandan Goswâmi, Prângopâl Goswâmi Prabhu, Râdhâ Binod Prabhu, Rasikmohan Vidyâbhushan, Prabhudatta Brahmachâri, Râdhâgobinda Nâth and many other vidagdha saints. My supremely loving friend, Reverend Mahant of Sri Râdhâkund – Srila Ananta dâs Bâbâji Mahârâj, is an expert in Tattva. His heart is like an intelligent honey-bee. Therefore he has collected the delicious sweet juice from the five nectarine fruits from the wish-tree called ‘Srimad-Bhâgavatam’ and has gifted them to all of us who are craving for Bhakti-ras. He has named this superb text as ‘Sri Sri Geet-Panchak’.
Lord Gourânga is the topmost explanator amongst all scholars. His special associate Srila Sanâtan Goswâmipâd has written wonderful explanations such as Brihad-Vaishnav-Toshani purport; Srimat Jiva Goswâmipâd, the ‘master philosopher’, has elucidated the entire philosophy of Achintya-bheda-abhed3 in his Krama-sandarbha and Bhâgavat-Sandarbha. In fact, he is the one to have carried the torch of this philosophy and planted it firmly on the pinnacle of darshan-shâstras4. We also have Srila Vishwanâth Chakravartipâd who is the âchârya of all rasiks. He has composed the Sârâtha-darshini explanation of Srimad-Bhâgavatam. Reverend Babaji Mahâshai has bathed in all these highly relishing texts from the depths of his heart. Hence he has been able to realize the sweet ras of Venu-geet, Gopi-geet, Yugal-geet, Bhramar-geet and Uddhav-Geet. He has partaken of the confidential tattva concealed in these texts and has elaborated the Truth sweetly, yet lucidly. He has presented the ras keeping intact the philosophy.
