Radhe Radhe !
Life is too shamelessly happy to whine……….
We celebrated Gita Jayanti on TWO days !! One was on Mokshada Ekadashi, the actual day, and then AGAIN on Sunday !! On Ekadshi we discussed the entire Bhakti Yog, while on Sunday, we had the REAL celebration !! Gitaji was cushioned very lovingly amidst two soft side pillows, and one soft back-pillow wrapped in Sri Krishna’s favorite peetambar.
Decorated with golden yellow marigolds, Gitaji looked sweet indeed. We read the Gita Pranam Mantra, and then held the regular class. We performed a detailed arati of Gitaji, amidst tumultuous Sankirtan. We showered peatals on all the Gitajis, placed in two neat rows.
Everyone of us took turns in performing the arati. Then we sang Gitaji’s Special Arati kirtan to the tune of Jai Jagadeesh Hare. It was SUCH tremendous fun. We were giggling and hugging one another. And for prasad ? In this climate what’s better than steaming hot samosas and gulab jamun, also sandesh and farsan ? Oh yeah, the sweets were contrbuted by Nirzar’s in-laws…. LOL !!
We also met Rana, a lovely person. Shuk remarked that he really speaks well. Now, such a statement coming from Shuk, who turns up his extremely long nose at nearly every speaker, this was a real big compliment. The sabudana wadas by Mili were also toppers.
