shravana yugala-lolat kuntal-hāra-vakshāh,
sfuratu hridaya-madhye gourachandro natendrah.” 61.
Meaning – Sri Gourachandra’s lustrous hair is tied with various gem-studded garlands, His smooth and wide forehead is adorned with chandan-tilak, His thick wavy locks are swaying seductively, His ears don makar-kundal, and a gold necklace is oscillating on the expanse of His chest. May That Divine Lover-boy, the Chief of Dancers reveal Himself in my heart ! 61.
“yadavadhi harināma prādurāsit prithivyām,
tadavadhi khalu lokā vaishnavāh sarvatrate.
tilaka vimala-mālā nāma-yuktā pavitrā,
hari hari kali-madhye evam-evam vabhuva.” 62.
Meaning – Ever since Sri Harinām Prabhu has appeared in this world, everyone has become a Vasihanv. Mankind has become pure by donning tilak and taking up Harinām-beads. Hari ! Hari ! May such surprising incident occur again and again in this Kaliyug ! 62.
“jive purna dayā yatah karunayā h aha ravai prārthanām,
he he krishna kripānidhe ! bhava mahādāvāgni dagdhān janān.
trāhi trāhi mahāprabho ! swa-kripayā bhaktim nijām dehyam,
naivam gourahareh sadā prakurute dinaika-nāthh prabhuh.” 63.
Meaning – Sri Gourachandra is manifesting absolute kripā for the Kaliyug-afflicted beings. He is praying in all earnestness, “O Krishna ! O Ocean of mercy ! Please protect all these jivas who are burning in this enormous fire of the material world ! O Mahaprabhu ! Please have mercy on them and give them your secret treasure called Prem-Bhakti.” Sri Gourahari Shachinandan, is the only shelter of the miserable, the only Patita-pāvan who can pray in this manner. 63.
“vishanna chittān kali-pāpa bheetān,
samvikshya gouro harināma mantram.
swayam dadou bhaktajanān samādishet,
kurusva sankirtana-nritya vādyān.” 64.
Meaning – When Sri Shachinandan Gourahari saw the immense misery of the Kaliyug-afflicted beings, and how they were frightened and steeped in sin, He directly gave the Harinām Mahamantra, and then He taught His devotees to sing, dance and how to play the musical instruments accompanying the Harinām sankirtan. 64.
“harer-murtim suru-pāngām tribhanga madhura-ākritim,
iti gouro vaded-bhaktān sthāpayaswa grihe grihe.” 65.
Meaning – Sri Gourāngasundar is telling His surrendered devotees, “You install beautiful Sri Krishna Deities in extremely sweet tribhanga pose, in each and every home and spread His worship.”. 65.
“sushona-padma-patrākshah subimba-adhara-pallavaih,
sunāsā puta-lālitya gourachandram namastute” . 66.
Meaning – Sri Gourachandra’s eyes are beautiful like the pink lotus, His bimba like lips are extremely captivating, His nose is exceptionally sweet – I pay obeisance to That gorgeous and exquisite Sri Gourachandra. 66.
“kandarpa koti-lāvanya koti chandrānan twishe,
koti-kānchana pushpābha gourachandro namastute”. 67.
Meaning – Sri Gourachandra’s lotus like face exudes the lāvanya of countless Kandarpas[1], it emanates the moon rays of innumerable moons, and it is as beautiful as a myriad of Rakta-kānchans[2]. I pay obeisance to That gorgeous and exquisite Sri Gourachandra.67.
“samuktā danta-panktyābho hāsya-shobhā shubhākaram,
simha-greeva lasat-kantha gourachandra namastute”. 68.
Meaning – Sri Gourachandra’s row of teeth are beautiful like a magnificent pearl necklace and it is the treasure house of beautiful laughter. His shoulders are like that of a lion, and His neck is graceful and charming. I pay obeisance to That gorgeous and exquisite Sri Gourachandra. 68.
“mallima-ālol-lasad-vakshāh karna-ālambita mouktikah,
kamkanāngada-samyukta mahābhuja namastute”. 69.
Meaning – Sri Gourachandra’s vast chest is adorned with beautiful swaying garland of Mallikā, his ears are sporting beautiful pearl kundals, His arms are decorated with gold ornaments – I pay obeisance to That gorgeous and exquisite Sri Gourachandra. 69.
“mrigendra madhya-kankāla jānu-rambhāti sundara,
Kurma-prishtha pada-dvandva gourachandra namostute”. 70.
Meaning – Sri Gourachandra’s waist is extremely beautiful and thin like that of a lion, his thighs are handsome like the stem of a banana tree, and His feet are like soft-cushions, the shape resembling the back of a tortoise. I pay obeisance to That gorgeous and exquisite Sri Gourachandra. 70.
“āshraye tava pādābjam kalikā champaka-angulam,
kripām kuru dayānātha gourachandra namostute.” 71.
Meaning – You lotus feet are so beautiful with toes that resemble Champak-buds ! O my dear Gourachandra ! Please give me shelter at your beautiful lotus feet ! My dear Dayānāth ! Please have mercy on me ! I pay obeisance at Your lotus feet again and again. 71.
“nakha-panktim jitāneka mānikya mukuradyute,
charane sharanam yāche gourachandra namostute.’ 72.
Meaning – My dear Gourachandra ! Your moon like toe-nails are putting the brilliance of gem-studded mirrors to shame. I take shelter exclusively at your feet and pay repeated obeisance. 72.
“dhwaja-vajrānkite pādapadme’ham sharanam gata,
karishyati yamah ki me gourachandra namostute.’ 73.
Meaning – My dear Gourachandra ! I take exclusive shelter at Your lotus feet that have the beautiful emblems of flag and the thunderbolt. Now I no longer fear the summons of Death. I pay repeated obeisance at Your lotus feet. 73.
“shata-shata patitānām trāna-kartā prabhustvam,
katham-api kimudoshe vanchito’ham prapannah,
kali-bhaya krita-bheetam trāhimām dinabandho,
sharanāgata-gatistvam kim bruve gourachandra”. 74.
Meaning – My dear Gourachandra ! You have delivered hundreds of miserable sinners; then due to what offence are you keeping me away from Your mercy ? My dear Friend of the Lowly, I am frightened of this terrible Kaliyug – please save me ! What else can I say? You are the Master, the only deliverer of the surrendered soul. 74.
“kim-adbhutam goura-haresh-charitram,
nāmopadeshāddharim-āshrayanti,
nrityanti gāyanti rudanti lokā
ratanti arthān hari-bhakti-yuktāh.’ 75.
Meaning – How splendid is Sri Shachinandan Gourahari ! He is giving Harinām and making everybody take the shelter of Sri Hari. Now after becoming Hari-bhaktas, all of them are singing Harinām Sankirtan, dancing in Prem-ecstasy, shedding tears of Premānanda, and giving discourses on Harikathā. 75.
