If religion be the opium of the masses India has the inside dope…….

My dear sweet devotees, our devotee brother Jayesh bhai has sent us this beautiful message to tell us that we really don’t need the crumbs that outsiders often throw at us, thereby treating us like dogs. Big Brother shells out some pennies in the name of health and education, and at the same time dumps all its nuclear waste in our Indian Ocean. And after that, they screw up their noses at us.

Similarly, they take the priceless wealth of spirituality and devotional knowledge, training of sadachar, and grudgingly throw a few cents like they are taking mercy on us, treating us like dogs and slaves in the process. More often than not, these donations are given condescendingly, and not with honor and respect that is worthy of spiritualists. Such gifts do not benefit either the giver or the recepient. In Bhagavad-Gita Sri KRishna calls such daanam as ‘tamasik’. Lord Goursundar  welcomes only those who are humble, know that spiritual knowledge is priceless, and whatever they give is only a token of gratitude, not payment. For such daanis or givers, he holds open the gates of the spiriutal realm.

Jayesh bhai has contributed this messsage to make every Indian and non-Indian know that the Indians  are self-sufficient and do not need the dog’s crumbs thrown at us with contempt and dishonor. Those who despise India and her people need neither come to this great country nor take anything from Indians, which includes religious knowledge.  We shall see who will be the loser in the long run.

And here are a  few facts to make us pat our backs – for all Indians who wants to boost their self-confidence – and for all westerns who think they can say what they want about India and Indians, can treat ourr culture as stupid (not realizing that THEY are the ones without dharma-sanskar), and treat all of India as a nation of slaves –

  1. I don’t know who he’s talking about who “throws crumbs at India” and then “looks down” on Indian people. Certainly not Vaishnavas. For goodness sake! It’s the opposite. One of the biggest mistakes Western sadhakas make is to over romanticize Indian culture and denigrade their own. While it is true that there are many wonderful aspects about India’s culture(s), there’s also a lot of bullshit. I for one am quite grateful that I did not take birth in India, especially as a woman. Jai Sri Radhe!
  2. Radhe Radhe. The lot of women anywhereis bad, may be in India it is worse. Just take myself for exaple, i am slogging day and night balancing seva, sadhana, family. Yet, hardly anyone appreciates it. Had it been a man in my place, he would have been crowned. 🙂 a western woman said – “A woman has to do twice as much as a man does, to achieve the sam erecognition. Luckily it is not difficult for her. ” 😆 i like this statement so much. However, purely from a devotional point of view, birth in India has advantages. For example, knowing Bangla and Hindi is certainly helpful for relishing ras, since English simply is no match while bringing out ras-feelings. Also, we are more exposed to Krishna-worship since birth. accepting Bhagavad-geeta, Mahabharat and Ramayan comes naturally. Even the Muslims and christians like these texts and revere them. But again, even though we may be Indians, but not spiritual, then no use. We may know Bangla and Hindi – yet if we do not drown in the nectarine Radha-Krishna-ras-literatures, then no use. It is better to be a western who loves Gouranga than be an Indian who does not love him. And for more news on how Big Brother loves to bash up India, pl read
  3. Hare Krishna !! I am mighty glad I am an Indian and and am proud to be an Indian woman at that ! I have a very sweet husband, and fantastic in-laws who treat me as a daughter. They are all Krishna-conscious too. I am so happy that I am not a western woman, who is always fighting for equality, which is rubbish anyway, and do not grant happiness. My happiness lies at the feet of my Vaishnav husband, in being chaste and pleasing him. Srimad Bhagavatam says – in Narad-Yudhishthir samvad that – all a woman has to do is to serve her husband who is righteous and that is enough for her. My ideal is Mother Parvati and Mother Laxmi who found solace in serving her husband’s lotus feet. In this manner we win over our husband completely. Not like western women who keep filing for divorce at the slightest pretext. All glory to the Indian woman !!
  4. Radhe Radhe !! Yes, bhabhiji – you are right. And Jay bhaiyya is SOOO sweet !! Yes, i too am very glad i am an Indian woman. And Shuk is such a darling. 😀 Anyday, i prefer being like this. 😀 When Sita maiya met sati Anusuya, she gave her many instruction on womanhood – it is evident from shastras. Whcih means that Bhagavat Dharma prescribes that we should be subjugated to our husband. In Skanda Puran, Princess Lopamudra gives a sermon even to Narad MUni about a woman’s duties. Indian women, who try to ape the western woman, and is asking for equality, is spelling her doom. Our shastras do not advocate it.
  5. Radhe Radhe – Also Vaishnavi said – While it is true that there are many wonderful aspects about India’s culture(s), there’s also a lot of bullshit. Whatever is good in Indian culture is inherently Indian, and whatever is bad, is incorporated from external sources.
  6. “Whatever is good in Indian culture is inherently Indian, and whatever is bad, is incorporated from external sources.” OK, then whatever is good about American culture is inherently American, and whatever is bad, is incorporated from external sources like all those immigrants that come over here from foreign countries, I guess? I’ve never felt that way, but many American citizens too. I guess I’ll join their ranks following your logic. 🙄
  7. Radhe Radhe !! Good we agree one point – NO immigration. we’d not suffer the brain drain we do now. And we wouldnt have many of the troubles we have due to massive infiltration across the borders – of ocurse this applies to all countries. NOw peace ? 🙂
  8. Everyone’s an immigrant or descendent of immigrants here. That’s why the immigrant issue doesn’t bother me. But it does bother some people when new immigrants fail to adapt, assimilate, learn the language, etc. I can understand their point.
