Let’s compete………..against ourselves

head3compete

Do i hold myself to the standards of other people, wishing i could be better than the next devotee ? Maybe this is motivating me, but an even greater skill is to just want to be better than myself. How about pushing myself to chant better, or wake up earlier each day? Goal setting – ‘sâdhya’ – is a great way to “compete” against myself. Let me select the end result that i want in any intensity that i choose. Then, it is up to me, and only me, to work to achieve those devotional goals. Thus, i’ll be pushing myself towards greatness, towards Bhagavat-prem and not creating unnecessary competition against others. For there can never be any competition, but only cooperation between devotees.

  1. Radhe Radhe! I like that! 🙂 If one leads the competition (with the self) then he’s progressing & if one goes slips back a little bit then his “self” is leading the race!! In both cases a it’s a win win!!! 😆
  2. We are so totally on the same page girlfriend! You are my sajatiya, snigdha and more than likely swato-vare sakhi!
