Here’s a question that was posed to the Dalai Lama:

 
“What thing about humanity surprises you the most?”
 His answer was as follows:
“Man”

 Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money
Then he sacrifices his money to recuperate his health
And then he is so anxious about the future that he doesn’t enjoy the present,
And as a result he doesn’t live in the present or the future
And he lives as if he’s never going to die, and then he dies having never really lived.

To live in the NOW, and thrive in Krishna-anubhuti EVERY moment, be ecstatically involved with Him simultaeneously executing daily duties, is the perfection of human life – is what we try to achieve. i actually know a mataji who is like this – Kamal Mataji. She has so much seva that she can never take a moment’s rest, yet she is always humming Gou-Govinda pastimes. She is trained in shastriya music, and also composes her own leela songs in Bengali. She takes help from a professional musician who is her friend, to give sur to the leelas according to the raga (depending on the time of the day) and then she hums them all day long.
  3. Radhe Radhe! Amidst samsara, with doing all duties & niyams properly (staying in almost full knowledge), even doing harinama always isn’t a small ‘perfection’! A very tough task especially for those involved in work that involves involvement, concentration & intelligence! 😐 It seems the mataji is blessed by sadhus even more! 🙄
