Swamini wants tutorials

Raag – Dhaanshee

Meaning –

“You know what? I came all the way from home to learn how to play the flute. Shyam, do please consider me Your maidservant and teach me the art of playing the flute.

Shyâm, tell me, which tune emanates from which pore?

In which pore do You blow to make the Yamunâ flow upstream?

Shyaam, do tell me which song results from which pore?

And which is the pore in which You blow, to steal Râdhâ’s heart?

The song from which pore makes the Kadamba blossom?

And which pore sends out the song that plunders Râdhâ’s heart?”

Shyaam said – “Râi, it is good that You came. Certainly I shall teach You the art of playing the flute, and I know that it will make Gyâna dâs the happiest person.”

Original –

“Ghare hoite âilâm banshee shikhibâr tore,

Nijo dâsi boli banshee shikhâho âmâre.

Kon randhre te Shyâm gâo kon gân?

Kon randhrer gâne bohe jamunâ ujân?

Kon randhrete Shyâm gâo kon geet?

Kon randhrer gâne râdhâr hori loy chit ?

Kon randhrer gânete kadamba phool phote?

Kon randhrer gânete râdhâr prem lute?

Bhâlo hoilâ âilo râi murali shikhâbo,

Gyâna dâser mone bodo ânanda hoibo.”

  1. “Nijo dâsi boli banshee shikhâho âmâre” This line pains my heart 🙁 and sort of angers me as well 😡
  2. Dear Ekantik Radha Palya Dasi, Radhe Radhe to you . i can well understand your feelings. My feelings too were the same…………earlier. However by Baba’ kripa, now i ve understood. He quoted Sri Rup in KK, that at the zenith of prem, Radharani does feel very humble. She begs Him to give darshan to other Gopis (vide Gopis Geet portion in KK). She deosnt consider Herself worthy of His darshan, so She begs for other Gopis. In U.N. Sri Rup mentions “humiity” as one of the symptoms of prem at its zenith. Baba mentioned in “gambhira Leela” – that when a devotee undergoes profound bhakti, humility arises spontaeneously in us as well. THIS humility is the real humility. Profound love ->profound humility -> profound love. Untill then, the humility – the kind that i keep showing – is a sham. 🙁 Deosnt come from within, nor is it spontaenous. However by all of you Vaishnav’s mercy, i did undergo some “love” for Krshna-lovers, and even this miniscule “love-abhaas” resulted in humility !! Then what to speak of swaminijiu. Here we wud also like to mention that, Sri rup also mentions arrogance as a symptom of the same level of prem !!! And Baba too aptly shows in KK, how swaminijiu’s bhaav keeps on swinging between extreme humility and extreme pride. 🙂 .Hey !!……….dear sakhi, here another idea is striking me !!! 💡 Baba’s kripa !! She may be just putting it all on, y’know!! After all She is a vaamaa naayikaa. she knows very well, how to “handle” Him and get Her bread buttered. 😈 Otherwise HE wont let Her touch the damn flute, let alone teach it !! And you know “whoever wields the flute, wields the power”, right? i think She is pullling a fast one on Him. 😉
  3. Radhe Radhe! In fact, Her flute play bewilders Krishna Himself! 😀 He becomes the beggar the moment the flute is gone…
