Jayatu jayatu jayatu debi
Hamsabâhini mâ go shweta boroni
Beenâ bâdini tumi bhagabati.
Brindâbone Shyâm leelâmrita bâdini
Bânshi rupe Shyâm kore âdhâr Binodini.
Gopi-mon mohini râi mono jwalani,
Brahma rupe mâ go tumi sura rupini.
Bidyâ dâyini mâ go gyân dâyini
Deho bidyâ, gyân, deho mâ bhakati
Saraswati keho dâke keho mâ bhârati
Minoti tobo pade deho prem bhakati.
“All glory all glory all glory to you, O goddess !
You, who ride a swan and dress in white,
And play on the veenâ.
All glory unto you !
In Vrindâban you are the flute that frolics on Shyam’s lips,
And sing His glory;
Thus enchant the Gopis and emblaze the heart of Râi.
You are the Supreme vibration, O mother, the Divine Sound.
Dear mother, you who are the dispenser of education
And the dispenser of knowledge!
Please give us the education and knowledge to gain bhakti.
Some call you Saraswati, while others call you Bhârati,
But we beg at your feet simply to give us prem and bhakti.”
